City v Boro - Pre Match Thread

The players should be buzzing after tuesday and will be looking to continue with a win today. Otamendi seems to have been rested and so I believe Kompany should be starting unless he is not fully fit, the cautious approach is reasonable nonetheless. But that has to be weighed in with the prospect of Kolarov at center back. Hopefully we will defend by attacking and have most of the possession to avoid any problems. Sterling also rested but Navas somewhat deserves a start and Sane should get some game time later on.

So I expect a lot of attacking, pressing and spreading the pitch with Navas on the right hand side. We have more than enough to win this match but Middlesborough are a tricky opposition and no complacency is required here.

I'd have played Kompany against Negredo given how often they pump it up to him(only Benteke and Vokes average more headed duels).

Hope Sane gets some time in the second half, need to build his confidence.

Kompanys exclusion is worrying. Hes fit so it looks like its a mental issue now. Im one of vinnys biggest fans but sadly looking like the end is approaching.
I'd say more of a problem if he breaks down and we need to sub him, leaving pep with 2 subs or 10 men is not on,let's see how he goes with Belgium,we can deduce more then

Come on Blues, we should have enough with that team.
Just been out with an old mate, who's a smoggy, on the roof cocktail bar of the Pattaya Hilton, quite surreal.
**** has delighted in reminding me of the 8-1 for many years now, payback is due.
Hope the Beast gets a good reception!

I love that bar ... and the nearby 'entertainment' ... our boys week is scheduled for after the Feb derby... can't wait (for the derby AND Pattaya)
