City v Celtic post match

That's an unknown. Do you usually find it difficult to beat the bottom three teams?

Or are you just making an exception?

Mate you have been a decent poster so far.

This is a City site and thus views will be very pro us and anti you on the whole.

Its looking increasingly like you want the argument when the reality is, most have said your boys played really well and have been honest about the 2 games and results.

Typical League Cup kinda game. Nothing at stake and it showed. We qualified and had great results vs Barca and BMG at home. End off.

Gundogan, Nacho, Zab top 3 performers, Nolito also looked dangerous. None of the defense particularly great, Caballero made some decent saves but again showed why he doesn't play; not quite good enough with his passing. Another match of nearly moments with the wrong final pass/decision.

Nice goal by Roberts & glad that it was him to score if anyone was going to for them - thought he had a good match.

No it wasn't. Tierney and Sinclair would be in. I accept you made nine changes, but, look at them. They cost over £100m.

Don't forget your first team couldn't beat us either.

A wee tad sour grapes me thinks.

You have no divine right to win. And two attempts at a shite Scottish team and you get 2 points.

It's either we are better than you give us credit for or you are a lot worse than you believe.

It can't be both.

Your shout.

Nobody can doubt that your lot will always raise your game against an English side. We used to do it years ago against united - it's the natural thing for small, weaker sides to do so. A game against City is your biggest game of the season. A cup final all on its own if you like.

Being the best side in Scotland is a little like being the best looking guy in the burns unit. In the English league, over the course of a full season, I imagine you'd finish at or just below mid table in our third division. Or to put it another way, Rochdale FC would most likely finish top 1/2/3 in your league over a season.

"Fitba" - its a funny old game.

We are all guilty of jumping the gun on a player when they aren't living up to your expectations but remember Sterling had some real awful games last season and that was solely down to a lack of confidence. Sane to me, lacks some confidence and comfortability in this side. He often looks to play safe and seems agitated at times to play a pass. Just wait until this lad is comfortable and full of confidence. I've seen enough to know there is a serious player in there.
I hope you're right about Sane mate, looks bereft of confidence so far.

Pretty dreadful game to be honest not much pride or passion shown hope we get a discount of the next reserve game I attend.

I watched quite a few Schalke games last season ( often had bets on them haha ) and when he was blitzing through on counters, he'd have a shot on goal but ATM he seems desperate to play the pass. Must be a lack of confidence in himself. Also that nutmeg and run he had tonight is something he's capable of all the time, he just often plays the simple pass instead. Could be a Pep instruction which would dissapoint me as we need more directness to our play at times.

In recent years we've lost to Wigan and Boro at home in the FA Cup when they were in the division below us.
