Fucking Celtic fans trying to use these games like they are good enough to play in this league and compete in it.

You're not. You wouldn't. Also Scott Brown is a fucking ****. Wouldn't last two months in this league. You think your team is worth more than £25m? No fucking chance.

Also don't forget who gave you the player who scored tonight, hope we draw you again next year and he fucking tears you apart. Fuck back off to the SPL where you can dry fuck Hamilton 4 times a year. ****s

We couldn't beat them though could we, with a squad that has cost city about a billion in wages and contract fees?

Once again don't knock Celtic's 67 European Cup win , it was a magnificent achievement at the time against the mighty Inter Milan and they beat the Rags to it by a year, and look how much retro publicity the Rags victory gets.

I wasn't knocking their achievement in the Final. I was just suggesting that it was a lot easier to reach the Final in those days (especially if you were from a two-team League and virtually guaranteed entry every season)

We've also lost to Villa, Newcastle, Wigan twice, Boro, struggled to beat Watford and Sheff Weds in the cup comps in the last five years.

Villa and Newcastle were shit Prem sides, Wigan were relegated when they beat us in the final, then were in the division below when they beat us the year after as were Boro Watford and SheffWeds. All but that final were home games as well.

Even with a weakened team we should be beating Celtic. That said, square pegs in round holes with some of the players. We have a lot of players who have unreliable touch and end product. Quality is defined by how often you can do good things. We have a lot of players who are capable of producing a good moment, but don't possess the quality to do it often enough. A fair few of those were on show tonight.

It felt a bit like a shop window friendly where you utilise your back ups to remind other teams that these players still exist and are available.

Positives, Kelechi took his goal well. Maffeo was ok. Gundogan was very good. Roberts looked good.

Negatives, Sane looks off although does show flashes of pace and ability. Nolito is a bit frustrating although started well.

And the rest....Fernando, Willy, Zabba, Clichy and Sagna are all a good level below what we are aiming for and it's becoming more and more obvious with each passing week. Will really miss Zabba though. He had a few good moments tonight but he gets slower every time I see him.

We couldn't beat them in the 1st leg due to an absurd deflection and one fucking terrible offside call. They wouldn't get that shiit another 37 games in the season, they'd lose that game 3-1. As for tonight we played that at 30% with a bunch of kids and played out of position whilst they went full strength at 100%.

Fucking right it was easier, they beat Zurich, Nantes, VodivodkaSmirnoffSomething, and the shit Prague team. It was like the Rags on a domestic cup run.

tosin and maffeo looked good. i thought the best youngster was patrick roberts though, he should be ahead of navas for us.

You`ve missed out young Yoyo who I thought had an excellent game and hardly gave the ball away.Been very impressed with the youngster whenever he`s started and I expect him to be really pushing in the next two years for that central pairing with Stones.

Don't forget the 3rd goal which was a complete mis-kick

Are they at it again ?

I recon when City beat Utd home & away under Sven, we were good enough, to be playing in the Champions League.

That's how it works right ?

Bang on. Small time fuckers who actually, sadly, remind me of how I felt watching us game raise every now and then, then get twatted 8-1 at the Riverside.

He looks as if he has some real skill. Goes past players for fun and has a nice touch on the ball. Overhit a few passes but played to his strengths and allowed to settle he could be really something. He impresses me more than Sterling who has hit a dead end he doesn't look like he is going to get past.

i do agree that there is something there that could point to a real prospect and that maybe we don't play to his strengths but that was something i questioned during the transfer window as he seem to be a player who is very useful for a team who plays on the break.....under Pep we will never be that team in a lot of our games,

Disagree on the sterling but however...he has made big strides since Pep came here and I think we are missing him at present. he is certainly ahead of Sane in the pecking order at present and rightfully so as he adds much more to the team than Sane does at present. A few nice runs and bits of skin as you say but that is nowhere near enough

The one thing in Sane's defence however I suppose is that he is being asked to do a job that he hasn't really done before and he did well for large chunks of the game in his defensive role (he was at least in position to defend).....but his attacking was poor tonight besides one decisive run and then one really good cross that he whipped in....other than that there wasn't much to show from him and thats not the first time.....its pretty much every game upto now......

Hopefully with more starts we will see him start doing the things he looks like he can do on a more consistent basis.
