Milner in for De Jong. We're gonna need his determination and hard work in this weather. Bloody itching for a win tonight, I want to crush these fools. Although I am nervous...

My team if everyones fit..

------------------Hart------------------
Boateng------Kolo----Kompany----Kolarov
-----------------Barry------------------
----------Yaya------------Milner--------
--Silva----------Tevez---------Balotelli--

Get those full backs forward when possible, these boring buggers are gonna sit back and get cold. Also, after having a stormer against us last year at Goodison, stick the in form Yaya on that lanky afro and show him who's boss!

would take a win of any kind but I think it's gonna be 2-0. Both goals in first half from Tevez and Milner or Mario.

With De Jong out, I think it's important that we don't use YaYa as his replacement.
He's on top form at the moment and by making him play deeper we'll loose our physical presence up top.

...................Hart
Boateng.... Kolo ....Kompany(C).... Kolorov
...............Zabaleta....Barry
Silva....................Yaya................Bolotelli
......................Tevez............................

Picked up on this stat today...

Everton and Man City have played each other (League, FA Cup and League Cup) 166 times in total. The record stands at -

P W D L F A
Everton 166 62 42 62 226 226
Manchester City 166 62 42 62 226 226

Beyond freaky.

Tonights game, my heart says 0-2, my head says 1-0 or a bore draw.

So 0-2 it is.

Double freaky and a draw would keep the freakiness going but that's not going to happen is it? After losing a few on the trot Everton gave up on attacking play and reverted to a policy of simply defending like buggery whenever away from home - with this policy of boredom in place they've managed to draw their last 4 away games. We tend to attack whenever we play but we've actually had a problem in breaking down teams who come to CoMS to defend and ergo our away goal tally far exceeeds our home tally.
Tonight therefore has a high chance of producing another draw (keeping the stats where they are [all square]) but I think that there's too much at stake for us to allow that to happen and Mancini will have the boys drilled hard to open up the toffee defence. . . could theoretically lead to Everton popping one in on the break but I believe our back 4 are fit & fast enough to prevent that.
I see it folding out as either as Everton holding out bravely but conceding in the last 15 minutes to give us a 1-0 win or us getting an early goal and Everton being forced to push forward in response - that'll bring a big win for us with Everton possibly popping a consolation in and that's what I'm hoping. Especially as it'll make it good game for the fans from both clubs who brave the weather to attend.
Also hope that Everton bring some good support with them as it always adds to the event if there's a bit of banter in the crowd.

Someone should tell Moyes to look at the league table, and again when he gets his 25th sweetie if we win!

;)

I should add; if we can score in the 1st 30 minutes it'll be 4-0 or 4-1 to City, if Everton can defend at their best it'll be a 1-0 score but whatever the case 3 points to the true Blues and our highest Christmas league position for 80+ years.
The futures bright the future's blue!

PS. It won't happen but even a resounding loss tonight would leave us in a better Xmas position than I can remember and that's a fair indication of the progress we've made. . . and I'm lovin' it!

True, but with what's on offer we should at least draw, and I'd be OK with a point.

(I want a win though and will secretly cry if we loose/draw)
