Lescott a 6? Surely you're taking the piss, the guy played superb today.

Poor performance. Fortunate point.

Agree with the first point. Either side could have won that and we had more opportunity to put it to bed. We need a player who can take on and beat someone, anyone, GOING FORWARD. And is it tactically naive for our strikers to run about, fucking about in the final third, dragging central defenders all over the show. We have a very predictable build up - no spontaneity which seems to be the only thing that can banjax blanket defences.

Can't remember.

Then again, I'm in love with Nastasic and have been for months, so when I saw he wasn't there today I was upset. Maybe that clouded by judgement.

True. But if we didn't bring on the players to bring width to our play we wouldn't have created space in the middle for any shots at goal as there would have been no gaps in front of goal and it may have ended up 0-0 or worse. It was the substitutions that won the game.
So why was a winger not brought on today to provide width. Why leave Dzeko on to provide height defensively and then take him off for Balotelli anyway.

Luck and poor Wigan finishing won us that game. We had width with Maicon and Zabaleta before then. We just had a lucky break
Luck doesn't exist, just like destiny and fate don't.

The Zaba and Maicon width was sporadic. We went to tree at the back with two wing backs and Kola and Milner were wide in the last third lots more.
Luck doesn't exist but a shot from Barry that is spilled by Al Habsi goes to Balotelli who shoots, Al Habsi saves, it's goes back to Balotelli to score is a fortunate break.

Like I said width had nothing to do with that goal.

It's been coming for a while now. We drew 2 games at home all last season. We've matched that already and we've only finished November. The glass half full brigade who have been harping on about winning ugly will now no doubt console themselves with drawing Ugly. Time to get the head out of the sand boys this form won't retain our title. Need to move it quicker, pass it better and for fuck sake shoot an odd time.

It did though because the players who were wide were speading the Wigan defence wide and creating gaps in the middle.

Don't think you'll get a reply to that mate.

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

Admittedly Dzeko was garbage, but why does Mancini keep blaming the forwards (<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/8300479/Roberto-Mancini-turns-on-his-quartet-of-strikers-after-Manchester-City-s-draw-with-Everton" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... th-Everton</a>) when the bigger problem is the utter lack of creativity, pace, and ideas from behind them? I like to think I watch a lot of football from around Europe and it's very hard to find a top side that plays at a slower pace than us. Instead of stockpiling tall and tough midfielders, how about some genuine pace (and skill to go with) for a change in a transfer window?
