The pace of the play is often dictated with the centre backs and for me lescott slows us down to much.To many times he goes back to the keeper when he could simply carry the ball but he doesnt move when in possesion.Infirst half maicion was poor and yaya toure is turning into a fairy and gives up to easy when out of possesion.kompany is back to his best what an outstanding buy he has turned out to be. We played ok today but everton are our bogey team.Lets get back to winning ways with a convincing win over the rags we have nothing to worry about after watching the reading game and evertond midfield is stronger than the rags.I predict a 3-0 win to city.

Yeah, too slow from the back at times. This is why I wouldn't mind Nasri at CM. He is good at picking it up from those centre backs and pushing it up quickly whether through a dribble, a one-two, or a direct pass. Space always seems to open up when he comes back in the middle. And that extra space and swiftness means people like Silva could get into more dangerous positions.

If we draw against that lot, I'd be as happy as I was today. Losing would take a little getting over. Winning obviously puts us on top, points-wise and emotionally.

But I believe that, in the end, we will conquer and win the league [again]. CTID

All season we have played like today. Build up play to slow . It is not a surprise we struggle to break teams down. If i knew the solution i would be the manager.

IVE GOT IT, speed up the build up play thats to slow, yeehaaaa can i have the job ?
Have you ever played football at the highest level . If not you can fuck off.

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

Was always going to be a difficult game v Everton, it always is, it could have gone either way and when if it does our ecellent record will go against a team such as Everton who are hard to break down but can catch you on the break.

At the end of the day would we have been happy with a 1 1 draw away at Wigan and 2-0 win v Everton I suppose we would so points wise we are in the same position. A few to many home fans today getting a bit to excited. Still undefeated and if or should I say when we beat that lot we will be top. Not to much to worry about, must say couldn't understand the Carlo sub?

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

We are certainly getting some soft penalties at home this season.
That one today would not have been given by any other ref.

Our midfield is not good enough.

Balotelli should have started today after his goal on Wednesday. Why does he keep changing the forward line?

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

I don't like it when our 2 strikers play so far up the pitch, Dzeko sure given his strengths, but Tevez should be playing deeper linking more with Silva, Nasri and Yaya.

I agreed with that...from what i've seen today yaya was destroyed by fellaini in the midfield..i hope the man who say that we already have a "deal for fellaini" is right
