City v Everton Post Match Discussion

Re: City vs Everton Post Match Discussion

Acceptable against a very organised and potentially dangerous side, so no problems dropping points against Everton. It was always going to be an imbalanced side once Kolarov departed, and we rarely went beyond their defence. Thought we missed someone in midfield who could up the pace and had real vision of pass today; a David Pizarro type player.

Re: City vs Everton Post Match Discussion

You just had a feeling that this wasn't gonna be our day from the moment Kolarov walked off injured in the opening minutes.

We just didn't test their goalkeeper enough i'm afraid , aside from shots from Dzeko and Maicon , and the game always looked like it would end up a draw . or a late away win .... our final ball was always poor , and we just didn't create enough chances in the game.

We'll now fall three points behind once the rags win at Reading,

Disappointing again, the Chelsea and Everton games were both there for the taking and again we are seemingly happy to just play possession football and not take a shot. Last season it worked perfectly, now most of the lads darent shoot just look to the next player to pass it to.

Really disappointing.

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

Not a great performance, Mancini needs to give the defence a boot up the backside, poor goal given away, still a long way to go...............

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

It was obvious they were gonna put crosses in so we have to stop the cross or double mark fellaini. He got himself on to zaba and imo lescott should have doubled up there.

Lack of urgency at times.

Taking Tevez off was a mistake

don't agree. not putting mario on was the mistake

don't agree not taking Dzeko off was the mistake :)
Bob persists in letting his heart rule his head on this one - I really don´t fookin get it - it´s rotation to keep a player happy and that isn´t the managers job

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

Moyes really does have Mancini's number. The buildup play was too slow for an organised Everton team, that knew what to expect from us, having faced the same thing for some time now. Far too predictable. Not a fatal result though, but we need to improve for the derby.
