i know what you mean but we are still unbeaten and gained one point on chelsea, west brom... MUST improve for next week in the derby...(play the kids in dortmund as well, guidetti etc))

The derby will be far harder than that was today ..... they'll have Vidic back for a start , and another recent returnee , Fletcher , loves scoring against us !

They'll probably also have the 'luxury' of a three point gap behind them ....

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

I know we play better and up the tempo in the second half of games and i like the way we have a patient build up but sometimes you just have to start fast - and we don't.
If we did we could really disorientate teams and have it won by half time.

Put it this way, we need to show teams who's the fucking boss.

Oh dear, Edin gets and blows another chance to stake a regular starting place. I wish people would stop all this still unbeaten stuff, we could draw all our games to the end of the season and finish outside the top 4.
Still, back on top is a positive. Too many flat looking displays so far this season and another limp first 30 minutes....we really need to make it easier for ourselves by getting stuck in at home from the off. Our midfield is a bit stuttery this season

No, we should take pride in the fact that we are still unbeaten ! This was how Juve claimed the title last season , at first the media made fun of them and labelled them "drawers" but Juve had the last laugh . Believe me those 3 loses the rags have suffered would come back to haunt them.

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

I was also disappointed with our passing in the first half. We tried to play the long ball way too many times & gifted possession back to them cheaply.

Haha, loved Blackadder.

We dominated the 2nd half, really just missing that cutting edge from last year, but I honestly think that will return very soon and when it finally clicks into place we will be unbeatable.

Re: City vs Everton Post Match Discussion

We never play well against Everton in my experience. I´m just happy to get the fixture done.
As for two points lost I was almost expecting Everton to win before the game so a draw is okeyish to me.

Re: Cty v Everton Post Match Discussion

Seems like we don't know where/when to play passes to our strikers anymore, the chance goes and we resort to a hopeful chip forward to nobody.

aye. I think Osman gave a little kick to Silva in the first half to which Silva held his ankle afterwards. Had me worried.
