City v Girona | Sat 17th Dec, 13:00

There was a home game we lost to Everton around 2009 or 10 that I still remember as the coldest I’ve ever felt at the new ground. Wasn’t there a night game v (I think) v Fulham more recently that was brass bastards as well?
That's one I remember well because I dug out my old City bobble cap and scarf from the 1981 Cup Final. It's also the most ticket holders I remember ever not turning up. If the ground was given as 40,000 there were probably about 25,000 in the stadium.

I remember being at a reserves game (younger BMers, ask your grandads about them) sometime in the mid-late seventies (can't remember who it was against). I think that's the coldest I've ever been at a game. It was called off at HT. Also, I remember being at a game against Chelsea at home, just after Christmas, sometime in the mid 2000s, before the filthy oil money came in. Christ, it was cold that night.

I remember being at that Reserve game. It was against West Brom (0-0) and called off at half-time due to fog. I also remember being at Chelsea on a Monday night in November ‘93 and there was only a couple of hundred of us, if that, on an open terrace freezing our nads off. Again 0-0

I thought I remembered it well but got the year wrong. 20th December 2010. Win would have put us top and we were 1-0 down after 4 minutes and 2-0 down after 19 minutes before losing 2-1. Can't remember how busy it was, just remember wanting to go because I knew it would be my last for a while, and my cousin being a softy and wanting to stay in the warm. Dragged him there in the end.

I actually can't remember the result but what I do remember is during that period Everton were our bogey team and beat us every single season at the Etihad, always by a single goal.

What I do remember is my mates pissing themselves at my bobble hat in City Square.

Three coldest games EVER...
3. I went to a Girona game (vs Bibao) a few years ago. Left at half time. My fault due to poor coat choice;
2. The aforementioned Boundary Park game;
1. A game vs Huddersfield at the old Leeds Rd Stadium back in the early 80's. I still shive thinking about that one :(
I remember we went to Barcelona in 2015 for Champs league, think it was March. We were on the very back row of the top tier, no roof and very open.It was t-shirt weather when we went in but as night wore on, the wind at the top got up, and the temperature plummeted. Me and my son were stood shivering for hours. To make it worse, Sergio missed a penalty and we lost 1-0. Then the bastards kept us locked in for over an hour. !!

Fc Copenhagen away in 09 was very cold -8 in February and inches of snow
I flew from Edinburgh but flew back to London. I said I would meet my wife on Friday in London and we would make a weekend of it rather than coming straight back and my bag therefore had clothes for both Copenhagen and London. I rang my missus after the game telling her to pack more clothes for me. She asked why because I had packed enough. I told her because I was literally wearing EVERYTHING I had packed to watch the game. I was like the Michelin man in a desperate attempt to stay warm

I was going to take my lads but the prospect of reezing rain, snow and a northerly wind is making me think again. I have never quite got over that FA Cup 3rd round loss at Boundary Park where I think I actually came close to my fingers and toes going black.
Boundary Park was positively balmy compared with the old Watersheddings stadium!
