That would be disrespectful.

I would start Foden in place of Dave or at least swap them round for the second half

Team will almost certainly be this, unless we pick up any unexpected knocks in training this week:

Bravo
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Zinchenko
Rodri
De Bruyne
Silva
Bernardo
Sane
Sterling

Forgotten what the rules are regarding substitutes in the Charity Shield? How many can you name and actually bring on?

Be interesting to see how Pep deals with the late returners. Does he start them all at the weekend as the one and only chance to get games into them and deal with a likely sluggish, rusty performance or does he stick with the pre-season side we’ve seen for the last two friendlies and trust them to go into the season as sharp as possible whilst the rest catch up over the first few games? He could also mix it up but then you lose some fluidity in the performance with players being at different sharpness levels. I’m leaning towards Pep trusting the core that have had a full pre-season and the South Americans getting around 30 minutes second half

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Angelino
Rodri
Kdb
Silva
Bernardo
Sane
Sterling

Gone with Angelino purely because he’s absolutely miles behind zinchenko right now and needs to improve quickly.

You get six subs so Otamendi, dinho,Foden,Jesus and Aguero all to get minutes second half

That has to be the team.

You can name 7 subs as per usual but are allowed to bring on 6 subs.

We'll probably win this simply because we happen to have more players available who are fully fit. Can't wait for us to comfortably win this glorified friendly and have the press spend the next week telling us that Liverpool aren't cut out to win the league, panicking over whether our dominance will ever end, and whether the power of Gulf states is bringing our beautiful game into disrepute.
Bravo
Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko
Rodri
Bernardo, De Bruyne, D Silva, Sané
Sterling

Grimshaw, Danilo, Otamendi, Angelino, Gundogan, Foden, Nmecha

We used all 6 last year, but three were in the last 10 mins

So based on friendlies, i assume sterling will be playing as striker of false 9? He's is due a good game vs Liverpool.
