The fact we played so few pre-games is our fault - fact. Time for the excuses to stop. We are not quite up to speed, we need 'x' player back, need time for the side to gel etc. We have the players now it's time for Pep to deliver not next season this season. Not doubting Liverpools quality but if we can't win these type of games then we won't win the league. How long since we have regularly beaten top six sides? I am confident we will have a great season and win a trophy, but the excuses really have to stop.
I'm with you there :) I often chuckle when I go back and read a few Pellegrini threads, and a few of the very same people who thought he was grossly underachieving considering consider ing the talent at his disposal. A lot of those very same folks now thinks the best manager in the world needs time after spending over 350 million :-)

The change in tune has been amazing.... We went from being an extremely talented team that was underachieving because of its shit manager, to one that needed time with a great manager after Spending over 350 millions.

Like I've said already, if Pep doesn't win the league, he has failed. Period.

I would settle for a genuine title-challenging campaign. Other sides have spent very significantly.

On this game Senegal and presumably Mane play two World Cup qualifiers this week: A double-header against Burkino Faso so that evens up a bit the impact of World Cup qualifiers on the squads.

They have played several games more than us due to us starting our pre-season so late,we are not even warmed up and they are in peak condition

Our south americans are not back till thursday evening,we won't win this game

Fuck I was looking forward to the game till I read that, don't think I'll bother going now. You couldn't tell me which lottery numbers won't come up tonight could you?

Lol, talk about upside down reality. Arsenal is a top 6 team, with top 6 talent. Yes they played poorly, but they got pasted by another top 6 team. That is impressive. No matter how you try to rcut it. And no, Oldham couldn't beat Arsenal right now. None of the teams We've played could.

But that said, no one is shitting their pants. Slow down on the hyperbole... Liverpool has played the most impressive football this season so far. Period. Simply acknowledging that is not a sin. They look in mid season shape while everyone else (including the 10 goal united) look kinda sluggish, us included. That has nothing to do with opposition. Just fact.

Quite simply wrong.You haven't watched Liverpool's games.

Watford gave liverpool a lot of problems. Palace missed a host of clear cut chances.
Arsenal are a team in disarray. Players not trying, no tracking back, never won one 50 50 challenge.

Yes they are very dangerous on the offensive, but they have been no where near impressive. The defence is a collective shambles.

Hi Everyone,

I am new here.

Just wanted to say I am still smarting from falling hard for Klopp's trick last season at klanfield when he announced to the world that Pool v City was going to be the most attacking game of the season. I stayed up till 1am to watch that match and couldn't believe what I saw. Turns out his simple but very effective plan was to attack like crazy for first 15mins then park the bus.

This time I have got a very expensive ticket to the game but I am in two minds whether to attend.

Can see Pool attacking through the middle this time for a short time then parking bus after 1 goal. Last season they attacked down the flanks but can't see a weakness in those areas this time. So the middle it is, especially if City play like they did against Bournemouth.

I hope we annihilate them this time.
