Honestly think we're best off going with a midfield three of Yaya David and Dinho. KDB should sit on the bench for this one imo, hes not a great tackler and it'll be important winning the ball in the middle of the park against the dippers.

Them three in the middle with Jesus on the left, Kun in the middle and bernardo on the right.

Not keen on 3 at the back without pace - I thought the 3 would've been bendy kompany walker, experience youth and pace to cover VK who gets square on a lot on the right of the three. I understand we bought them to bomb on so would prefer a 4 so they can overlap and cover. Just a bit concerned playing them wide in attacking positions squeezes sane and sterling to compete with the many central attacking players we have. We just don't seem to have the right formula yet.

Think Liverpool are going to sit back and let us come at them, using Mane and Salah to attack the wings. Yet we have some pacey fullbacks now so I think is Mendy and Walker don't maraud down the flanks too much we should nullify that counter. Play narrow so gives the fullbacks chance to stay back during the build of play.

I'm hoping we do see Mendy and Walker marauding down the flanks! Lets force Mane and Salah into dropping deep, or expolit the space they leave if they dont.

Dinho is a no-go in this game for me. The last thing we need is any more of him giving the ball away and gifting the oppo chances like against Bournemouth. He needs time to sort himself out. Delph would be a good option if he were match-fit but in his absence I think Danilo could be a good bet. Better going forward than Ferna OR Delph from what I've seen too. Probably not as good defensively but on current form the best we have. As said above, Touré is probably too slow for this kind of game.

That said if Gundogan is ready for the starting XI then obviously he walks in without question or challenge.

Liverpool team selection is crucial. Is Clyne still out? If he doesn't play and Milner doesn't play then our wingers and fullbacks will have field days. However one of our biggest problems IMO is getting on the end of crosses (man I miss Dzeko) which nullifies their threat a little bit.

Waiting for news about Vinnie's injury status before thinking about the lineup, can see huge problems for us if we have to line up with Stones and Otamendi as the CB partnership

No way gudongan is anywhere near ready for this type of game. Pep will have a plan for this game and it might have us go a bit more direct like barca at home last season.

I'd like to see Danilo played as the pivot. Walker and Mendy fullback. Fed up of Fernandinho giving the ball and needless fouls away.
