Our record last season against top seven teams:

Home- Played 6 won 1, drew 4, lost 1- & Points 7, GS 7 GA 8
Away Played 6 won 1, drew 1, lost 4, Points 4, GS 5 GA 12.

In all played 12 won 2, drew 5, lost 5, Points 11, GS 12 GA 20

Not very good at all.
Never seen a season like it though where we got so little compared to what we deserved.

Chelsea at the Etihad scored 3 break away goals and had the worst officiating in any match of the last 10 seasons.

United at the Etihad had 11 men in the box all game and celebrated that point like they had won the Champion's League.

Tottenham at the Etihad 2-0 and cruising but they had 2 shots all game and scored both.

Not making excuses as you make your own look but even twats who hate us like MoTD said we were ridiculously unlucky last season.

I cant wait to play against a team who will try and play, which gives us more space.
It will be a nervy match to watch, plenty of chances for both teams, we just have to back ourselves
that our attacking force click and perform as we know they can.

This is what we have all been waiting for, lets enjoy our football.

Don't kid yourself Liverpool will sit deep and try to hit us on the counter they even did it at klanfield last year.

Would very much agree with you on those matches (plus Everton was ridiculously one sided and Liverpool benefited from incredibly generous "refereeing" from Oliver).

We do however need to get a big result against a rival and hopefully that will come on Saturday.

We have Jonathan Moss as referee at the weekend. We have a decent enough record when he has been in charge, only one defeat when he has reffed us as far as I can see but it was fairly significant- the 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool 2 seasons ago.

Really hope Pep starts Toure or Gundogan in a 433. I'm sick and tired of the 3-5-2, Pep needs to understand that it won't work against all teams. I'm also sick of Fernandinho starting, don't get me wrong he's a class player but at this point he's basically Kante with a little more passing ability and because of this it causes KDB to drop deep and create instead of playing in his preferred role. KDB dropping deep is one of the main reasons this season that we haven't been as impressive this season going forward, I think playing Gundogan or Toure who have exceptional passing ability and are able to create will allow KDB to play up front in his preferred role.

To add, that result had nothing to do with the referee. The team was a shambles

I agree, not a bad appointment, but it amazes me that fitness requirements arent much more stringent, being out of nick will impact performance.
He'll have the fourth official making the calls for him anyway :)

Fourth official Pawson, he did really well in the cup semi.
