Agree on the Gundogan thing. Odd that we have a player injured for nearly a whole season and he walks in unchallenged to the team again. Think with Gundogan fit we are going to be a proper team. He brings a stability to City's midfield that we lack. This guy was Pep's first signing so he features heavily on Pep's tactics and long term plan, just hope he isn't a sick note.
Sorry to break the bad news but a "sick note" is precisely what the guy is. Very talented footballer but made of glass. Something which was highlighted before we
splashed the cash bye the way. Not sure if he can turn the tide (hope he can) but it is insane that some people think that he should start against the red dippers on Saturday after
9 months out.

just watched a review of 2011/12. only dropped 2 points at home and beat all our rivals at the Etihad.

come on pep. if bobby can do it and even pellers in 2013/14 had a decent record.

sort it...

heart says we win 3 1. head says draw.

Compared to the last time we played Liverpool, Pep will have Ederson, Kompany (probably), Walker, Mendy, Danilo, Bernardo & Jesus among the players to pick from.

I think we should be positive.

This. Cmon fellas, they barely beat us last season with some dodgy finishing on our part. We have a new set of speedy fullbacks. We had Kolarov and Zabe in the back 4 vs Pool last season! I'm confident we will win.

Have to start winning our home games against the better sides because quite frankly our record against them under pep has been unacceptable so far.

Completely agree. Not so much better away either against the top teams. Got to improve.

Our record last season against top seven teams:

Home- Played 6 won 1, drew 4, lost 1- & Points 7, GS 7 GA 8
Away Played 6 won 1, drew 1, lost 4, Points 4, GS 5 GA 12.

In all played 12 won 2, drew 5, lost 5, Points 11, GS 12 GA 20

Not very good at all.

If we dont, and i think that starts this saturday, then no chance of us winning the league. If we drop more points at home on sat, it really does not bode well for our title chances.

Still too early to worry too much about that but it would leave little room for further points dropping at home.

We should be targeting them on their weaknesses which include defending free kicks and corners. I bet we don't though and the dead balls are as useless as always.

I see this game coming too soon with our new players settling in and can see a 2-2 draw.

Dinho is a no-go in this game for me. The last thing we need is any more of him giving the ball away and gifting the oppo chances like against Bournemouth. He needs time to sort himself out. Delph would be a good option if he were match-fit

Delph? Fucking hell, I'd forgotten we hadn't got shut of him.

"Delph would be a good option if he were match-fit"???!?

The Pope would be fucking great at bar mitzvahs if he was a Jew. And apart from anything else, Delph gives the ball away every 2nd kick. Not what we need at all.
