Maybe we can play both diniho and yaya in a 3-5-2 with 1 of kdb or Silva playing off Jesus or kun

Ederson

Ota. Stones. Vinny

Walker. Yaya. Mendy

Diniho. Kdb

Silva
Jesus

4-1-4-1 Id go

Ederson
Walker VK Ota Mendy
Ferna
Bernardo Kev Silva Sane
Jesus

Liverpool are good going forward but Id be expecting Walker & Mendy to be an attacking threat in this pinning them back rather than being in there to nullify Mane & Salah. Their pace will help against any counters.

Think we should be to strong for them and Kun off the bench if Needed

Gundogan would ideally be in there for ferna if fit

3-0 City

Seems I went with a win...not too confident of that, think we will need to contain their forwards to prevail.

2-1 city win

Big test on Saturday. Hopefully Vinnie will be fit. The DM position is the biggest selection poser for Pep, Dinho or Yaya. I would go with Yaya as he offers more control although his mobility slightly worries me. Dinho had a poor game against Bournemouth and his
distribution was not great.

Their defence is not great and we can certainly get at them, but we need to be wary of their pace on the counter. Should be an excellent game

I'd be starting Leroy for this one, he's had a couple of weeks with no international footy so should be chomping at the bit and in full fitness - think Clyne is still out so I trust Pep will have identified their right as a weakness that we should attempt to exploit.
Is this good news for us that Clyne is out. Has this weakened them? Sincere question?

He missed the Belgium game with a 'knock'. I don't think Belgium play again this week, so presumably he's back with City. Not seen any updates since it was announced he'd miss the Belgium game.
If Kompany's injured, it answers the 4 or 5 at the back question, since we only have two other centre-backs who're likely to be trusted for this game.

I'm hoping that Pep gives the Aguero-Jesus partnership another go. It hasn't been hugely effective so far but I don't see any reason why it can't succeed, especially at home. Far too often last season we saw low crosses played into the box with only Aguero, surrounded by a posse of defenders, anywhere close to getting on the end of it. And now we've recruited Mendy whose speciality seems to be driving low crosses into the box. We need an extra body in there.
