Liverpool are good going forward but Id be expecting Walker & Mendy to be an attacking threat in this pinning them back rather than being in there to nullify Mane & Salah. Their pace will help against any counters.

Is Klopp the type to park the bus against a possession team? I know they can be lethal on the counter, but hoping he's ready to play real football so we can see what City are fully capable of when not having to break down a 10-man defense.

I think on Saturday we will lay down the law and send a statement of intent, to the rest of the league. Our pace on the flanks and ball retention ability will be key. They are good at pressing but so are we too, but it might be a good thing to soak up some pressure and sit a little deeper, and pick them off on the break, which is where Silva x2, Ederson and Kev will be big players. I'd personally pick Jesus over Aguero, for the work he does off the ball.

3 or 4 at the back, 4 or 5 in midfield and 1 or 2 up front. I don't know but we've got to hope that Pep can come up with a game plan to stifle Liverpool, whilst making us a real goal scoring threat, and I think he will, which is why I think we'll win by a good 3 clear goals.

I agree. Very physical match. Jesus got through it OK. 2nd half sub. Coutinho came on late. Looked rusty. Brazil seemed to settle for a 1-1. This game was a world of difference to England v Slovakia. Edinson Sanchez, Falcao, James Rodriguez for Columbia and we know about Brazil. Glad we didn't sign Alves. Looking his age.
