We've only been beaten at home once under Pep, that's a bit of perspective at least. Our home record isn't fantastic but we rarely get beat, and that's without Kompany for nearly the full season, and much worse FBs and a shocking GK. The panic posts for a game without Kompany are tiring to read

The first game in a key run of 7 games in 3 weeks, would be good to start with a win.

The key to this game is us converting our chances. Get the match into a position where we don't need to worry about their counter attacks.

We all know how they are going to play, a midfield of Can, Henderson and Wijnaldum isn't going to be a problem for us, just shutdown their out-balls to Mane and Salah and get at their defence; Gomez-Matip-Lovren-Moreno, that's a defence that can be got at.

-------------------------------Ederson
Walker------Kompany (Stones)-------Otamendi------Mendy
----------------------------Fernandinho
-------------De Bruyne--------------------D.Silva
Bernardo---------------------Jesus-----------------------Sane

Would love to put Gundogan in for Fernandinho but don't think he'll be ready.

Could see him putting Jesus wide and Aguero up top but I'm not too sure about that.

They have played several games more than us and look very sharp,we looked undercooked before the break,i think we will lose this one,we have too many coming back from south america and maybe no vinny
This is a point of view that I can agree with.

Start with 'Pool and finish with Chavski on the 30th - away.
Will we know more of our prospects - for the PL title , -on 1st Oct.?
Easy to say - we need to score and learn to shoot from outside the box.

They could try and overpower us. I think they will be cautious but physically City are a bit lightweight. I hope they do just sit back and try and contain us because we're well used to that now, and our full backs should be able to handle their pace on the break.

I think Pep will know they'll go for that physical, quick to press style. Important that our players are confident enough to play key passes and not panic in possession. Keep possession, wear them down and force them to try and contain us, not their natural game and I think they'd struggle doing so. Perfect game for Gundogan, wish he was fully fit, Fernandinho has been struggling on the ball under pressure.

We need to score from our 1st or 2nd chance though, take a bit of pressure off our defence when they have to track Mane and Salah.

For me this is key. If we do that, they will likely blow out
