We need go get behind Mangala whenever he does play... he's wearing the shirt so no need for any abuse.. the lad struggles at times anyway and he is going nowhere till January so time for a group hug and get behind him...

Yea, that's spot on

mane played for Senegal on Saturday. 0-0 draw. Return fixture (Burkina Faso) on Tuesday.

Sane is their main man. The international break makes this game hard to predict as a lot of players may not be at their best. Where possible we should rest them. Striker is a problem. Both Aguero and Jesus in South America but Aguero was an unused sub.

I'd rather Bernardo start on the bench than seeing him as a winger. Even if he cuts insid, he is not going to give near his best there. Not the same as when he plays as a center/attacking mid.

I'm afraid he is going to be played there too often and people will start to question his overall capacity. Please, don't do this to him Pep.
He plays there for Portugal.

Tough game and imperative that we ride out the inevitable Scouse onslaught in the opening 20 minutes.

They looked superb against Arse, although due in part to Arse not trying, but the warning signs are clear. They have pace and will close us down quickly. We don't want our weak links of Otamendi and Fernandinho panicking and rolling the ball to their quick forwards.

I think in this game it's important we go all out fast attack from the off to counter their intentions to do the same. And ffs put away our early chances or we'll be in for another shit result.

If all goes to plan I predict a high-scoring game that we edge over them.
Fail to take our early chances and I fear a 3-1 defeat or worse.

It's all about who gets on the front foot most.

Both teams are very dangerous going forward and less impressive defending. Keep possession and keep them under pressure more than the other way around and we win. Which I expect we will. 2-1 City.

Can't believe the negativity in this thread. Anyone would think we are the away side and that the scousers are world beaters. I personally have good vibes about this game and feel that everything will begin to come together. City win by two goal margin.

If the ref doesn't do anything silly (!) I think we'll burst the Scousers bubble. They are way too cocky and think we'll surprise them. 2.0...

Walker and Mendy's defensive performances may well decide the result. Both are pacey and strong and as long as they position themselves well they can contain Salah and Mané.
