City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Relieved we won the game..our players were tenacious in defending..maybe even luck was on our side today..
Pissed off that Negredo is injured, his heel was stepped on.....hope it's not a serious injury..

That Suarez is like a terrier, how did he manage to push Lescott off the ball, twice??

Massive result, 3 points in the bag and in good position to put pressure on the arse.

Happy with the display of the hole squad, yet Hart is my MOTM. Has redeamed himself with a stellar performance today.
Yaya was the only disappointment : un-efficient, un-inspired and slow at everything.

If that's what it was he should be ok.

Top marks to Liverpool and Rodgers, they are the second best team in the league for me, they just might not have the squad to go the distance.

However, BT Sport, Michael Owen and that twat who does the post match interviews can get to fuck. Kompany could have had 5 penalties, so any complaints about that last one are eradicated. That offside decision though was an absolute shocker.

More importantly for us, we are becoming bloody good at recovering from conceding goals at home. I never fear that conceding will cost us the game with this team.

its was a champions performance wining a tight game when its was all about the 3 points no if or buts just 3 points and we move on

Liverpool give it there all and we still won that's the level you have to bring to the Etihad to give us a game

Entertaining game, but Liverpool have been as good, if not better, in the corresponding fixtures in recent years (a couple of notable exceptions), so the real test for them is how they fare against other teams. They've now lost away to us and Arsenal and dropped points at Everton and Newcastle. They won't be far away this season, but I would question whether or not they have the psychological strength to go the distance and win it.

Objective is 4th. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but easy to forget expectations going into this season. The "psychology" stuff applies to Spurs (all those signings), Man U (champs, "size") and Arsenal (choking history).

Chelsea seem like they'll coast into top 4 one way or another and win the title if you lot somehow fail to win it.

The other two top four spots are up for grabs.

Fair enough, but having dropped from first to fourth in a few days, you could be fifth by the time you kick off at the Bridge; assuming Everton beat Southampton at Goodison.

I think the acid test for Liverpool will be the run of game in January Stoke (A) followed by Aston Villa (H) and Everton (H). If you get maximum points from those, you'll be well placed when the European tournaments begin again.

Unlikely, of course, but not impossible that an English club will win the CL this season, so surely your objective really should be third, no?

First time I've heard Rodgers complain about officials but I'm not going to blame them just our poor finishing hope we can get a point from the chavs!

well if he is complaining about that offside that wasn't why don't he complain about skrtel fuck temperament and how he should of had been eliminated....
