City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Clearly the toughest home game of the season.

We weren't at our best, but sometimes you learn more from these types of games. I actually think it's a good thing (although not for my heart) that we have been challenged at home, and been forced to grind out a win.

All up very gratified for the 3 points.

The media's already behind Liverpool on this one saying they were the better team and that the winning goal was a Mignolet howler. Unbelievable

And to some extent theres fuck all wrong with those comments.

Why is nobody giving Negedo credit for using the outside of his foot, a skill you do not see much these days.
Liverpool played well but they were not the better team, City missed much more chances.
Fully agree. Their keeper wasn't at fault - the ball was spinning and swerving because Neredo hit it with the outside of his foot.

Why has nobody mentioned the two offside "goals". If the first had been given it could have been a totally different result.
The second was given yet the only defender between Coutinho and the goal line when Sterling put it through was Hart. As far as I'm aware you can still be offside when you are behind the ball when its passed. Would have been a very harsh decision though.

To be honest if there was any real justice both teams would have come away with 3 points and Arse/Chelski got none for their bore-fest.

Great result- bring it on!

Great win.

Thought we deserved it on our first half performance.

Second half Liverpool perhaps just shaded it.

Hopefully Negredo will be ok for Palace.

If not you would expect Jovetic to be introduced at some stage.

What a match! Over the moon with that win. And on a football note how refreshing was that compared to the shit served up by the likes of Mourinho?

Hart for me motm, but bloody hell Liverpool were good.glad we got the 3 points , as some players did not turn up.yet we cannot bulldoze every team, so it was an enormous result.

Liverpool got their luck against Cardiff when the forward pass from Suarez to Sterling was not given as offside.
You win some/you lose some.

One things for sure we need every player in our squad the sooner Rodwell,Jovetic and Richards can start to make starts and help out the fucking better. I hope they have wrapped Zab in cotton wool for the next two days we need him.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2013/14

First time I've heard Rodgers complain about officials but I'm not going to blame them just our poor finishing hope we can get a point from the chavs!
