Why has nobody mentioned the two offside "goals". If the first had been given it could have been a totally different result.
The second was given yet the only defender between Coutinho and the goal line when Sterling put it through was Hart. As far as I'm aware you can still be offside when you are behind the ball when its passed. Would have been a very harsh decision though.

To be honest if there was any real justice both teams would have come away with 3 points and Arse/Chelski got none for their bore-fest.

A player is in an offside position if:

he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent

If i see one more post saying we should have drawn or lost then i might scream.

We were the better team, more shots, more possession, more everything and it could well have been 4-1. Ok, they had one dodgy decision but we could have had 4 pens at least.

AND, we didnt play that well.

So, start accepting that we are now a top team with top players and accept the best team won. We are getting there.

To be fair to Suarez he has cut a lot of the diving out.
We made him resort to that on the edge of the box so should be happy in a way.
Lescott needs to stop copying Skrtle or whatever the spelling is.

Great win, Liverpool will do top 4 easy if they keep that up.

He threw himself down a bit theatrically when there was contact, but nothing as blatant as some of his dives in the past. His reputation means refereees won;t give him the benefit of the doubt, and he certainly wasn't getting anything today given how Mason let Skrtel and Kompany go at each other all match without noticing Skrtel playing rugby and Vinnie shoving him away.

Liverpool are a good side,I expected us to score more in all honesty but after that,theyre the best we've faced at the Etihad (prem game that is)..

i dunno why they are saying that liverpool should have got something out of the game when we had most of the possesion. we had more shots on and off target. we were the better team.

Best English side to play us at the Etihad this season. Really good on the counter with Coutinho, Suarez and especially Sterling who looked really good today. Hope they make the top four as they're great to watch.

Really enjoyed that. 1st half is the quickest game this season. 2nd half. If that lot on BT sport think that Liverpool should have
won it, well I'm pissed and pissed off. We settled for 2 - 1 2 nd half in my mind. But with more effort could have scored again.
Bet if they equalised, we'd have scored again.
