Rogers quote: "It is arguable that there was a penalty at the end. Luis Suarez can't jump because he's tugging at his shirt"

Can't jump? it was a star jump to try and win a penalty!

By the way, what happened at their first half "penalty" call? No-one's mentioned that.
I'd agree with that. Neither were penalties. Shirt pulling occurs in every set piece of literally every match.

Don't take Rodgers too literally in those quotes. He's having a moan to benefit us in future matches. I don't think it will work btw.

Correct. Rodgers is playing the game, and doing it well.

Good win for you guys and good game that. Gutted we lost it when I thought a Draw wouldn't have flattered us. The quality and depth of your side is amazing and as everyone says the title is yours to loose. It was a close entertaining game and our poor finishing and your extra quality shown at the end. I thought Fernandinho was MOM for me. Finally you got someone who can provide your attacking players platform to attack. Silva and Navas were constant thorn for our side and Yaya when decides to go is unstoppable force. Such a amazing combination of physical force and technical ability. In my opinion you have the best combination of physical power and technical ability in middle of the park.

Hart pulled out some good save for you and I thought Kompany was rock wall at back. I think probably the best CB in EPL right now. Was zabaletta really injured or you guys just made things up and kept that secret weapon for us. Never looked like he was out of match practice.

For us Suarez played well and created chances for others. Sterling showed flashes of brilliance and midfield of Allen, Henderson and Lucas combated yours very well. Coutinho played well but with Zabaletta and Navas against him and Sisokho limited his influence for our side. In defense Sakho played very well but I thought Skertel and Johnson were poor.

Finally with Aguero to come back and some of the better defenders, I think you will running away with league this year. Man United are a joke under moyes and Mourinho won't trouble you guys unless he finds his Drogba. Even then I don't think Chelsea can match your quality. Arsenal can mount some pressure but I think they are big chokers when the push comes.

RedAgger, a very we'll reasoned post with sound rationale, much more like what happened on the pitch than some BlueMoaners will give City credit for. You gave us a really hard game, just as everyone expected, you don't get to top of the league by chance. Rodgers trying mind games, good luck to him, Mancini won us the league and used mind games to put pressure on United and took pressure off us. He'll probably get a fine but for him it's out there so job done.

After the game, didnt anyone else have a realistic perspective of the Barca games?

I mean, credit where its due Suarez did look as if he could open up our formation.

Now it got me thinking about Messi. And it would be a challenge for sure.

Did he score? Why do some City fans.have to put a negative slant on things, the mentality of the club is changing faster than the mentality of some of the fans

pretty much agree with all of that mate.

that was the hardest game we`ve had this year, so you really should finish in the top 4 and if you can keep suarez fit you may be in the top 2 hopefully behind us.

that will piss the scum off

I think you'll do Barca unless Messi produces some magical moments. Few times I watched Barca this year and I don't think they are same force as they were under Guardiola. On other hand you have become much better under Pellegrini (oh how I wanted him at Liverpool when out board thought Hodgson was the best candidate). I think Pellegrini has assembled a good squad this year. Aguero was always class and you now have Negredo to partner him or take mantle in his absence. Fernandhino added steal to your midfield (which you always lacked previously). Navas just surprised me this year. Constantly up and down on that right side with blistering pace and ably supported by Zabaletta (best right side partnership in EPL now). Kompany is very good but you need better partner for him (Demachelis and lescott are not on same level). I think a Zabaletta and kompany clone will make you formidable opponent to everyone :-)

If the red scousers take united's place in the top 4 can we call it a derby when we play them and pretend they are our main rivals?

I would love that brother :-)
