City v Liverpool - Post Match Thread

Fantastic result against pool..I've had to witness some drubbings off them over the years..that was a a bit of nice payback..didn't like the jeers for milner.we're better than that..our defense without kompany worries me a lot..rumour has it..big Sam has said he'd coach our defense..yes please.

Ditto. Think Mangala deserves a shot. Can't see how he would be worse than Otamendi. His lack of confidence would surely make him dive in less...plus communication with Mendy!

We won 5-0. It could have been 7 yet we treated like paraiahs for having the audacity to take advantage of a team with one man less.

FFS. We'd have beaten them 10 v 10.

I noticed that they had a lot of joy on our left hand but in fairness Mendy did not assist Nico as much as I'd have loved. That's not to say Nicolas gets a free pass as he couldn't deal with Salah's pace. Off the top of my head I have tried to summarise both teams' penetration into the other's box. Most of theirs came from our left hand side.

Pool
1. Nico's foul on Sarah on the edge of the box
2. Henderson's ball in from our left hand miscontrolled by a Pool player but easily dealt by Eddie
3. Salah getting past Otto but playing a weak left shot to the hands of Eddie
4. Mane's run
5. Save drawn from Salah's shot after being put through on goal by Mane iirc. The one on one

City
1. Aguero's goal
2. Jesus' solo run where he should have given a cut back with KDB on the other side
3. Mingolet's save from Stones' shot

Mangala has been given a second chance I can see him embracing it. Someone show Pep the film of his shit and he will get the best out of him.

Great game. Great result. We were clinical for once, putting away all but a couple of our clear-cut chances. We need to continue like this if we're to have any chance of challenging for titles.

It's worth mentioning that Ederson (before the injury) and De Bruyne were brilliant today. The only sour point was the way in which Liverpool were able to continually cut through and find themselves one-on-one with Otamendi.

As good as we were today, it's not difficult to see how we could have been on the wrong side of a thrashing. But it is difficult to be anything but positive after beating Liverpool emphatically. Bring on Fayenoord!

It isn't Pep's job to stop City from scoring against the other team. It is that minger Klopp and his team's job to stop teams from scoring against them. Nobody to blame but Liverpool for getting beaten like a drum.

Klopp is quickly approaching Maureen in my hatred.

Don't often post but my hatred for the scousers forces me to today. I hate those bastards like no others. It's not that they're wankers - there's plenty of them - Utd, Spurs, Everton etc etc - it's the double standards they have. "We're cheeky, lovable, laugh a minute, salt of the earth scousers, it was Chelsea fans at Heysel, there's no better set of fair-minded, sporting fans than us. Observe our incessant minute silences". Er - we do. We moved our game with you in c. 1999 to Good Friday (the only game to be played that day I think) because you couldn't possibly play on the 10th anniversary of Hillsborough - we impecably observed a minutes silence and your first act was to start singing "Going down". We did the same on the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough at Anfield, you won a potential title deciding match 3-2 and you bricked City vehicles after the game. Today you booed a player who was given oxygen and placed in a neck brace and only a handful of you showed any respect as he was stretchered off - the rest of you cheered, waved cheerio etc. Absolute vermin - you are a complete and utter set of candle-lighting, hypocritical, grief monkey wankers.
I was at a youth game against them a few years back with my daughter who was around 4 at the time. About 500 fans and a mini shower of coins landed just near us !

great result, but our weak link is a CB, Vincent is a key player for us but he made of glass, without him we will struggle by some decent teams. we need a decent CB Pep, well sanchez & messi are a bonus :-)
