City v Newcastle, Carling Cup - Post Match Thread

all were fuckin shite apart from dem who was ok
what I will say thou is jovetic (better option then dzeko) was trying hard he just needs to calm down hopefully that would come with an extended run in the side

Game given away, nobody told Milner or Jovetic, more important games with our depleted FFP squad, Manuel didn't look upset, look forward to the rest of the season, stop flapping.

I think the writing was on the wall a while ago. It took Lampard to arrive to get us going again as a force going forward or rescue us if he came on. Since he's been out we've been dogshit

DeMichelis was top drawer this evening and really calm when things were not going our way . Nasri wasn't too bad after his long lay off . Yaya was a bit better believe it or not . Milner was quite active but not impressive . Nevertheless he will start Sunday ,Clichy will start too IMO . Zabaletta back . Flood the midfield . He must play 4-5-1 . But how do you replace Silva ? Big dilemma now for MP . He was puffing his cheeks a lot tonight : nervy ! This is a big one after tonight's loss. Crowd turned out this evening expecting but got nothing . City fans know when our team needs an uplift . Sunday will define our season . It's that important now .

Newcastle played well tonight .
As for us that defence was a shambles again .
Not learning Pellergrini .
Or are defence and midfield .
Pellegrini not Pellergrini FFS

Over the last couple of years, every single team in world football has significantly both improved tactically and increased work rate. We have done neither, hence this Groundhog Day we live through a couple of times a week. Wank.

I think it's more the work rate issue which we just don't do. We play our own game and that's it, we can't adapt to other teams looking hungrier and hitting us on the break.

I think the club have missed a huge opportunity tonight, there would have been a lot of kids there tonight and fans who aren't regulars, and watching us keep the ball but struggle to get a shot on target and then lose the game is something that could put some people off going. This was a great chance to increase our fan base and by offering cheap tickets we had a decent crowd for a midweek game but the display will probably put some people of the next time the reduced price tickets are sold.

that was really shocking...i didn't see us played so shite like tonight for a while.next 3 games are HUGE...if we win them all then our season may be back on track but if we won't then god help us...this place will be like a new world war
