Wow! What a second half.

A little disappointing in the first 45, but credit to Palace for defending well. I thought beforehand that if we could score one, the floodgates would open, and so it proved. Another five goals and another clean sheet, but our defence is shit.

According to the BBC, 21 goals is the most we have scored after six league games and it’s the first time that a top=flight team has scored five or more in three consecutive matches since Blackburn did it in 1958-59.

My MotM? Leroy Sané.

It was a strange first half, Palace were more adventurous then I expected. As Pep said we just weren't moving the ball quickly enough and there was a lot of sloppy passes which I think resulted in all Palaces chances. Our midfield seemed static too at times. In spite of that we should still have scored maybe three times and did score a beauty.

The second half we moved up a gear and it was just a matter of how many we would score. We have a goal threat all over the park. Sane had a great game but he really has to knock all that dissent on the head or he is going to get booked every single game. We are so much quicker and more direct than last year, Stones seems more composed, still prone to a lapse like the one in the second half when he took it on his chest and got caught but overall much better. It seems harsh to nitpick after another 5-0 but really they are only minor points, another top show all round.

I'm probably in a minority of one in saying this, but we have played better than today and not won games. That said, some truly outstanding goals. Need to step up the performance for Chelsea.

Palace were not that bad - Wayne Hennessey made some superb saves. Says a lot about us if we can win 5 - 0 without being at our best.

We are truly witnessing the begining of something very very special. Sane, my god how good can this lad get ??..... Definitely hitting the top shelf tonight.

On train home now, after a detour via Kegworth. First half very nervy, in fact i thought they looked committed and dangerous right up to the final whistle. Not KdB's finest game but I loved the way at the end he and a couple of others jumped on Delph's shoulders in celebration at the end of the game; brilliant.
Incredible from City; let's not take it for granted
