That was a good test defensively and I thought we held up well. We will always create chances so it was good to see us fairly rigid defensively. second half they couldn't live with us. Sane a live wire after a dodgy first 20 minutes. Kdb phenomenal as is the norm nowadays. Delph solid at left back. Lastly, Ederson, great at keeping them out and setting them up.

Reminded me of games last season when missing loads of gilt edge chances more so second half,but its still a good win and clean sheet so job done,had a feeling sergio would miss it but it hasn’t cost us,nice to see gundogan getting on,but De Bruyne,sane,Fernandinho and Delph all played well,roll on Sunday where hopefully sergio puts them to the sword..

That's the difference between us last year and this year though.

Last year that game probably ends 1-1, now it's 2-0.

Our defence is good enough that the team no longer panics when we're not banging in the chances, and the attacking play is so relentless that it's almost impossible to keep us to just 1.

the record needs to go aguero is letting it get to him you can see everybody first look is for aguero and the team is trying to hard to put it on a plate for him the pen was always on the cards for missing but like i said forget the record its not the end of the world and aguero is going to smash it with 3 or 4 years left to play at city

they was the best team going forward tonight that we have faced this season and still kept a clean sheet so you have to give the back 4 and the keeper at big shout for keeping it shut and we do look better at the back and stones is now showing the class we knew he had the team worked hard for each other and got the job done

Too many chances have been wasted.
Everyone seems to be waiting for Kun's goal and I think he is under pressure himself when taking the penalty.

Not sure about you but I loved Bernardo's attitude since he came on. 10 minutes on and still left it all there. Hope this is the game changer for him,

Also proof that he is better playing in the middle even in a forward role.

Sané needs to stop being so selfish. He is very technically gifted but that would have been a certain goal if he had passed it to Bernardo.

Anyway, nice second half and props to Shakhtar.

I agree about Sane being selfish. Pep will sort him out though.
