City v Southampton Post Match Thread

FFS can't we keep slim Frank for the rest of the season and buy some aging superstar in January for The Cosmos and pay him a mega wage.
After all there's no FFP in the American League, is there?

Nasri was back to his best today .
He looked after that ball really well .
Easily our best player today .
I want more of that Sami .

Is that a joke? He was appalling again. The only bad performance in the eleven. When silva is back he has to be dropped.

Haha.

I know we're not his biggest fans mate, but I think you're being a tad harsh. He was average today, very frustrating as we know he's capable of so much more.

Tell you what was interesting yesterday, saw some highlights of last season. It was incredible how much slimmer both he and Yaya were.

Apart from conceding a few needless free kicks towards the end, it was arguably our best performance of the season.
We looked stronger after the substitutions and Steve Claridge made the point that City’s best formation doesn’t include Silva.

Best performance of the season for me. Aguero was excellent yet again, despite not scoring. Yaya looks to be impoving, although nowhere near his best but good to see him scoring again. Fernandinho seems to be shaking off his post-World Cup hangover which is great news for us. Thought Clichy had a very good game and I just hope that he can maintain his current form. Joe Hart's distribution was shocking but he made some good saves and what an inpsired signing Lampard has been. Come on City!

PS. Should Navas be worried? - Clichy right wing - right foot rocket - top corner.

What did he / didn't do that made you think that was appalling? Who needs enemies hey? Not sure of your age but you sound like a main stand boo-boy

Mangala's first yellow was actually his 5th yellow of the season anyway, so he would've missed the next match anyway.

i am pretty sure it was his 4th
From the Sky match feed:

Mangala is now booked for a late tackle on Tadic, meaning that the France international has now picked up his fifth booking of the season and will miss City's next Premier League match in midweek.

I assume they know, but you never know with sports "journalists."

Well, Steve Claridge needs to give up on footy then.
