City v Southampton Post Match Thread

Solid professional performance with bags of pragmatism and Sergio dishing out superb assists. The world suddenly makes sense. Loved it and caps off an excellent week. Great stuff and more of the same on Wednesday.

Not sure how Nasri was perceived to be very good today? I don't think he was particularly bad, he rarely is in fairness to him, the problem is it was another typical Nasri average performance. Just doesn't offer anything specific to the team other than being neat and tidy. Not the game changer/winner we bought from Arsenal.

What an excellent performance that was, totally dominated the first 25 minutes, let them get back into a bit, but still controlled things, let them have 5 minutes after half time, then dominated the rest of the game, even with 10 (and 9) men. Best performance of the season for me, a proper team showing, well done all round.

Fernandhino was superb, best game in 9 months for me, I thought Mangala was excellent until his red card, Clichy has probably had his best 3 games in a blue shirt this week, welcome back, Sergio was good if not his best, but worked his balls off, hopefully one day he'll pass to Jovetic, Navas at his frustrating best, worked so hard, but struggled to cross. Joe was solid with his handling of crosses and distribution, but otherwise had little to do. Good subs as well.

Hopefully Southampton won't collapse because they look a decent side, and we could do with them hurting Chelsea, which I think they can do.

Lets hope Vinny was a precaution, and he'll be back asap.

Happy Sunday night blues.

Like you cleavers I thought it was our best performance of the season.

Cant believe some of the negativity on here at times
They all did their job and we came away with three points and a clean sheet

Wrong again
Really what does he bring to the table ?
Not impressed and would rather play Milner more .
At least Milner can cross a ball .

Saints full backs were nonexistent as an attacking force to day. Milner gave the ball away when he came on on several occasions Navas attempted more crosses today Milner put none in

Wasting your time on here mate The only City player who gives the ball away more times than Milner Is Hart but as they are English no one will have a bad word said against either.
