City v Spurs post match

I've not read the full thread, but regarding the push on Sterling - which was definitely a penalty for me - suppose he had gone to ground?
I think that after the push and his awareness of it, that Raheem simply didn't have any room to go down and there would have been a collision with Lloris.
The officials should have noted that and acted accordingly, I mean a £50 million player isn't going to risk injuring another player or himself surely?
The officiating for that incident was beyond poor, it was diabolical!

I saw Otamendi charge out of postion to hand Spurs the winner last season.

Imo he is riddled with misjudgement of just about everything. When he gets it right, it's brilliant, but he's playing the cb position, with a centre forward's mentality, gambling on where the ball will be & charging at it.

Stones is Everton's 3rd choice cb. He might become a top defender but right now, he isn't one & we are arguably a better side without him.
Don't disagree our defenders make some bad mistakes. Clichy yesterday on Spuds first goal is another example. But considering the defence is supposed to be so bad they concede very few chances. Six shots on target in the last 2 games against tough opposition is pretty good. Unfortunately all six have gone in.

People can say otamendi had a great game as much as they like but if that had resulted in a goal (and my god it was so bad and could easily have done) people would have been going absolutely apeshit about him on here today. 18 months on and he's still diving in like a loon in areas where it is entirely unnecessary. He just can't help himself.

Not having that at all. The way we play, dominating possession in most games, our defence will often not have a great deal to do for long periods. The issue is that more often than not, any meaningful attack from the opposition results in a clear scoring opportunity.

Absolutely gutt with that result. Thought I'd wake up this morning feeling a bit better but it's one of those games which feels like a defeat even though it wasn't one. Much harder to take than getting drubbed 4 zip at goodison last week.

True, but we are dominating every team we play against.

It's like, if a team manages to get the ball, then get past our midfield, they have a 50% chance of scoring.

Most of the time, they can't get at us, but as soon as they do, we are in trouble & that goes for Watford, Bournemouth, Palace, anyone.

My God - are people actually saying he had a great game?

If they shoot they have a 100% chance of scoring against that clown at the moment !
It's a worry that he appears incapable of making any difficult match winning saves but I am more worried by how many clear cut chances he has to face from so few opposition attacks.
