How was Maffeo light weight? He lost one shoulder challenge he was second favourite for ffs.

That official? Didn't seem that high.

Reported on the UEFA site I read at about 40.060. Home end bottom two tiers virtually full plus Steaua sold two levels (2nd & 3rd). Quite a few Blues in East Stand Level 3 I think takes you over 40k.

A Decent crowd and a good send off for Joe.

Let's face it, was utter wank last night, but job done, kolorov ok, yaya looked like a shit gymnast, fernando looked like a shit footballer.
A wins a win I suppose.

Hi! Sorry to post this here, but I am afraid (since I am not able to start a thread) that my post will have no visibility.

Please allow to introduce myself, my name is Vlad and I am a Romanian football historian having as main interest the history of our clubs in European Cups. After years of research and collecting I have recently started (https://www.facebook.com/retrosport.ro/) and very soon on www.retrosport.ro a portal which aims to present the tickets, the programmes, the pennants and the video highlights of the Romanian clubs in Europe.

The reason I am writing to you here is to kindly ask if any of you would be so kind to help me with this project by sending me 1-2 used match tickets and programme from Manchester City - Steaua. Also if there are collectors here, I could also send team sheets/tickets from the first leg (maybe even the matchday sports newspaper - since Steaua Bucharest has not printed one match programme in 6 years).

Hoping that my message did not bother you, looking forward for a reply,
Vlad

Was an ok-ish training session for the reserve team... Liked what I saw from Angelino, Tosin and Maffeo... they will become good with more training and has all whats needed to be useful in a Pep Team... not much else to say really... glad both Joe and Yaya got to play though...
Hmmm, I know it's against the rules not to eulogise about young players, but wasn't impressed by Maffeo, but as you rightly say, a useful session, especially for Pep.

Great first half but went off the boil in the second. The only real concern is obviously Nacho because from where I was sat it looked a bad one and with Bony likely off we are going to have to find a striker with a week to go.

Welcome and good luck.

Not solely based on last night but i dont see Delph as having the quality we need Don`t get me wrong i don`t deny he gives his all. but imo he is very limited no where near Gareth Barry or De Jong in their pomp

Delph is a specialist for doing a particular job against particular teams imo. Not for a game like last night. But he was the bloke who scored.

If we are in the latter rounds of the competition suddenly lose grip of a game & need an oppo player crushing to get us back on top tactically, Delph may be the perfect bloke for the job.

Oh, I felt Delph did rather well. Bearing in mind he was playing in a midfield with Yaya and Fernando, neither of whom offer much movement in possession. It's certainly harder to look good than when you're lining up alongside Silva/KDB or Fernandinho.

Does anyone know, if I can buy one of those half and half scarves from last night? Couldn't see them being sold outside, though I did get there later than usual. Want one for a Romanian mate who was with me.

Always think it's unfair to criticise players when they've had so little competitive action, had little time playing together, and had to adapt to a new system. That said, a test for Guardiola will be extracting the best from all players this season, as the domestic demands and invariable injuries will force him to field these players, so they need to be kept up to speed.

pretty much a training game, and a demonstration of why Pep won't be picking half of those players if he can avoid it.

We were always going to find it more difficult with that midfield, who as a combination are just so far away from what Pep needs that it just meant the front 3 were starved of any really good play. If we could sell all 3 tomorrow and bring in replacements I reckon we would without hesitation, all 3 only have 12 months max left here, and the next time we see any of them bar 5 minutes off the bench will be Swansea in the cup imo.

Itchy and Scratchy's injury is a blow, maybe we'll have to look at another striker depending on how long he's out for.

According to Kelvin Ihenatchimo himself on tweeter this morning, he said the injury is not serious and he wont be out for long. thank the Lord.
