Our team really deserves a lot more praise than it gets. That's passing on par with Barcelona. Love the football Mancini has got us playing.

Is that the best we have EVER played? For me, probably yes.
You are 100% correct. That was the best display I have ever seen in a City side.

Wow.I doubt if I would put it in the top 100! I just wouldnt put it up there as there was no opposition and we just coasted. Each to their own.

Maybe your opinion is swayed because Stoke were poor and it wasn't that exciting, in a 6-1 away at the rags sort of way.

But it was nigh on faultless. We controlled the game totally and utterly for 93 minutes. When we had the ball, we kept it magnificently. When we lost it, we hunted in packs to get it back and invariably did get it back in a matter of seconds. We created God knows how many chances and at the other end defended superbly.

Only Hart's failure to claim 1 cross and Aguero's missed chip stop it from being a perfect performance.

I know everyon cringes at Barcelona comparisons, but honestly if Barca had played Stoke last night, that's how it would have looked. They would perhaps have taken a couple more of their chances, but even that, I am not sure.

It really was bloody good.

I thought the most pleasing aspect was the way that Kompany, Barry, Lescott & Yaya made it uncomfortable for them when we lost the ball in the first half. Our enthusiasm to recover the ball helped pursuade Stoke that it wasnt going to be their night.

Simply put, if we played like that every week we have 21 league games remaining at we would win all of them. There is no side in England who could take points off performances like that.

A lot of kneejerk reactions in here. Stoke were crap and just did not turn up. We did what we had to do. It's as simple as that.

Work man like performance against a average Stoke team with no desire to test us.

I would have liked us to step up a gear and put half a dozen past them.
The rags won 5-0 away at Fulham. We don't want out Goal Difference to slip.

Top at Xmas is fantastic and unbeaten in a calendar year at home is wonderful.
We only dropped two points.

I think it was better than that. I don't remember a more complete performance before, with all elements of our game firing on all cylinders. Usually there is a weakness somewhere but last night there was nothing. It was pure class.

The last time we controlled a game like that was Fulham away last season, but in that game we only managed it for the first half.

Thought Barry was excellent today. I can honestly say it's something special to watch up play now, even against lesser opposition. Yes, we coasted to an extent today, but that was because our possession, retention and movement were first class. It was easy because we were that good.
