I'd have to guess that they don't want to even risk RSC since we have a game in 2 days, and with Ade going to be gone for a few weeks we won't have any strikers at all!

Not sure about this. Surely Kidd told him Stoke are big and pose an huge aerial threat. If Santa is being rested I would have tried it the other way around and played him today but rested him for Wolves as we can dont need height as much. Anyway, come on Bobby!! show us what you're made of.
 
Good to see Kompany getting a start at Centre Half-maybe he can babysit Toure through the game. As for playing Robinho and Petrov ahead of the the best-performing player on the team (Bellamy)-what a joke decision.

Clearly Mancini intends to pick players on the basis of reputations and not their form-not an encouraging start....
 
Stoke will rubbing their hands at the prospect up causing an upset today-its gonna be a real struggle attempting to cope with the long throws and corners. We need a early goal to give us a real chance.
