And United, after the opening 20 minutes.
They say play the game, not the occasion.
I have to ask the question, would there be any doubts if Sunderland were playing Barca or Bayern this weekend at Wembley?
That's the current levels City are at and while the same could be said for Wigan, last year, it's clear there will be no excuses for us this time.
I have genuine affection for Sunderland fans and hope they stay up.
There's a fine line between arrogance and belief but I won't be surprised to see us get three or four, once the game settles down.
Didn't you say that we'd put 5 past Wigan?
Worries me every time I see you go gung-ho but you have to be get it right sometime ;-)
Why? I've got fire in my belly for this one, love. Last May I turned up, like most of everyone else there, and was quite calm thinking we'd walk it. This year I'm not thinking like that. I'm bouncing, I feel like I could go and put on a City shirt and play and get us to win, I'm that up for it.Pam said:KippaxCitizen said:I feel like the players owe us one after the FA Cup final last season. I hope they can level it up with us after that dross they served up in that game.
I'm well up for this. It might be the least important of the four competitions we're in but I'm fucking well up for this after last season. I am slavering at the mouth for trophies like a wolf after its prey.
Mackems, we are coming and we're not here for a day out. We mean business and we're not fucking about this season.
Will you fucking shush.

COME ON!
Exeter Blue I am here said:I hope you're right, but I have to say I would happily take a 1-0. Sunderland will employ the exact same MO they've done on our last 4 visits to the Stadium of Shite, namely park the bus for the entire game and hope to sneak one. Breaking teams down who play that way is far more difficult than I think anyone accepts, and almost impossible to generate any kind of tempo against.
Surely though, their luck (and they've had the full Monty - offside goals, freak goalkeeping errors, ridiculous penalties, red cards not shown etc etc) has to end sometime? I reckon we'll win, but if we don't score early it'll be a fucking grind
Now that is the spirit, I like it. Spot on in my opinion, we will beat them.Didsbury Dave said:We are a miles better team. Not one of their players would get into our squad, never mind our team. We have a team full of experienced internationals who have played at wembley and the biggest arenas in the world. I am totally convinced the players will be correctly motivated and correctly organised by the manager. A nice big pitch and for the first time this season we should have our strongest eleven on the pitch. A nice weeks rest, too.
Everything is in our favour.
I expect us to win and I wouldn't be surprised, should we get our usual good start, to see us do it by several goals. I believe Silva is going to run this game for us and I believe Vinny is going to be lifting the first, but not the last, trophy of this season.
I'm that fired up I reckon I'd beat Samuel Eto'o's workrate from the 2009 CL final!bluemc1 said:KippaxCitizen said:Why? I've got fire in my belly for this one, love. Do you track back ?
I pray and hope you're right. I'm still a little uncertain but I think that's just me talking. I worry a lot.Didsbury Dave said:We are a miles better team.
