Just noticed that MCFC have posted the game at Sunderland in 1989 2-4 on CItyTV. Me and my mate were two of the few City fans who went to that game. We got chased on our way back to the car. I can't imagine that happening again tomorrow. (the being chased bit - I mean). Let hope we win 2-4 that would be great, after the succession of 1 nil defeats.

Match Appointments
Referee: Craig Pawson Assistants: S Ledger, G Beswick Fourth Official: P Dowd

He's not done one of our games yet, but he's dished out 3 reds this season!

Thanks,i've never heard of him
3 reds already,that's going some

2 of those Reds were in 1 game.

10 games, 31 yellows and 3 reds.

Just hope he's got f****n eye's that actually work If he has he'll do for me because the refs we have been getting ain't seeing zip apart from every foul we commit !

We always go to the pub near the ground at Sunderland but we are getting up there early tomorrow so we are thinking of going into the town centre for a drink, anyone know how far the ground is from the town?
Town is 15/20 minute walk. If your going in town centre visit the Corner flag. Cheap as chips. Always got Loadsa drink promotions on a match day. There is also a couple of wetherspoons. The lambton worm is the best as it's on this side (stadium) of town.

having some banter with a couple of mates who are mackems and they actually expect to win , their supporters expectation could work for us on wednesday ,but our abysmal record at a club that has an annual relegation struggle is really inexcusable. Maybe the League Cup win is the turning point , i think they deserve a chorus of "sunderland, sunderland show us your cup" to rub it in.

Our debacle at the Etihad last season was well after the League Cup win.

2-2 draw is a debacle ? f*ck me havent we come a long way , did that draw win us the league in the end ? Your definition of a debacle is slightly different from mine , but ive witnessed 50 years of cock ups , even a home draw used to be celebrated with a lap of honour in the 80's

Was having a chat with a hammer mate at the gym last night, he started talking about just trying to get to 40 points. How the memories came flooding back.

Just been on a Sunderland forum, once you wade through the crap they are getting very giddy about tomorrow

Their recent results against us gives them reason to be giddy, taking nothing for granted although if we play like we did at Southampton I can only see us winning 2 or 3 nil....
