City v The Big 4

Over RSC yes. But instead of ETO. That is one massive step down.

Much better Players available for £25 million IMO.

Remember he misses at least a month with the african nations cup as well next season.

Its all relative. Is he better than the likes of Jo, Benjani, Evans, Caicedo yes. So its a move forward a big move up from them as for city as a team.

I would be a bit disappointed if we ended up with him though to be honest even Arsenal fans dont really rate him....

As for Huntellar his record is frightening almost 1 in 2 or better and that includes half a season and Real and for Holland at International level.

Technically a much better player. But thats an argument for another day...

ironic huh, the one with the obscure title has all the goodies in it, while the one with 'adebayor signing' in the title contains sod all about the player or the transfer.

Never judge a book by its cover ;-)

I think the new breed of bluemoon poster needs his/her information fed via an intravenous drop for it to register in their minds...

Well we'll have to agree to disagree then. There's a lot more to it than just goalscoring (though he did get a lot more in the cups) and like you say he got a couple of very important ones

Yeah there is more than just goalscoring but baconface is no mug and I don't think he would favour one player over another purely to save face, especially in the CL final. Maybe he would. Strikers are usually judged on there goalscoring records, especially if they are big money signings in the region of £30m

you're right, it IS all relative. eto'o would have been possibly the greatest transfer coup ever. unfair to judge other targets by that standard.

Hahahahaha!

You're hilarious mate. Adebayor is good enough for Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid, et al (all clubs who bid for him last summer) - but he's not good enough for City...YCNMIU...

Re: Adebayor

Very interesting Josh. Any hints on whom you think is done ? And when you say watch this space for us bidding on an Arsenal player is this Alex Song ? Please explain.
It's interesting stuff don't you think that on the one hand we read that City are developing relationships with the Barca's of this world whilst at the same time going into the lions den and taking player's from our very own domestic big 4. Weaken their squads whilst saying to them ''not only are we coming but we are going to take your better players''.

Rags = Tevez

Chelsea = Terry

Liverpool = Barry
whilst not directly from them he was certainly their main target.

Arsenal =??? Watch this space over the next few days.

Although we have no official announcement I believe one is done whilst two others are very close.
well out of those im guessing that he thinks barry is done, im not sure though.

also include in this everton by putting in a bid for lescott and letting them have jo for another season.

and villa for taking barry

so thats the top 6 destablised

I don't think the issue is that they don't rate him - they certainly used to in the 2007/08 season.

They don't like the guy because it seems like he doesn't want to play for the Arse any more, and they think his attitude is crap because of this (which I would too, if I was one of their supporters).

If we can get him, and he's bang up for it like he was the season before last, we'll have a hell of a player on our hands.

Fuck me having the richest owner in football has seriously effected our judgement. Adebayor is a top player and would considerably improve our team. I'd have him at City without a shadow of a doubt.

How fucking stupid is that post???

Who gives a fuck about some stupid pointless brochure which some arrogant arsenal fan (probably the same kind who wanted wenger out last season) has made up and sent to his mates...
