and Yaya will be gone much longer than just January. The final is 12 Feb and the Ivory Coast are clear favourites. Egypt and Nigeria aren't even in it.

I take your point about Nigel and Milner, however to have three Centre Mids and Hargreaves (who we cant rely on) isnt enought to play games every 2-3 games. Even if we dont pick up an injury or susp they'll be physically knackered.

Why will yaya miss this if its gonna be either 7,8,9 jan and the african cup dont start till the 21'st would of thought this would of been last game

Sometimes better to knock a major obstacle out early than meet them later on. That should be the way both city and scum look at it.
