So Liverpool in the league just before and Liverpool in the semi just after. Will be ntetedting to see how Mancini approaches it. We now have a ridiculous schedule so which match gets the full strength team, the 3rd round or the semi?
I agree with the post above. Against Liverpool in the Carling Cup, it will be the usual Carling Cup team, minus Kolo Toure. So Panty, Onuoha, Kolarov, Zabaleta, Hargreaves, De Jong, Razak, Johnson, Dzeko etc.
I think I'd be more inclined to go full strength against Liverpool in the league and the semi and play the weakened team against united. If we beat them with the weakened team it would be hilarious and if we lose it would be a pretty hollow victory for them and would give us some space in the schedule.

Re: City v The Rags!

And the big winners in all this?

Yep you guessed it

Sky , the BBC , the FA and the PL´s fookin favourites - Twitcher and Spuds

No doubt the coont will get off after we lose at home to them with a team of cripples/kids

The aforementioned are doing everything within their power to stop what they clearly see as an unwanted City juggernaut rolling all before them

What a ridiculous month of fixtures. The PL (which I want more than anything) campaign could be hanging by a thread after that fookin car crash of a fixture pile up (no pun intended)
I fear the worst. Spuds with no Europe playing a 2nd string against weak opposition all the way to the final.
Ahh fook it.....!!

I would be inclined to agree with this. We are two games away from a final against a championship side.

I Agee we are 3 games from winning a cup! Like you say play our second string against the scum its a no lose situation

Re: City v The Rags!

I loathe derbies, bad enough in the league but in the FA cup, as well, again, my fucking nerves won't stand it. (Checks fixture list for Jan /calendar, books in at Doctors for extra Valium)

This is something we as fans have to get used to, as we'll be competing on several fronts for many seasons to come, and fixture congestion is just going to have be another problem for us to overcome. I think we've got enough about us, especially as I think (speculating only, not ITK) we'll strengthen pretty substantially in Jan, not in terms of numbers of new players but the quality of them.
