City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

Disappointed, but plenty to do in Beijing instead, feel for anyone that has travelled from UK / Oz/ NZ for this.

It looks like the rags have bottled out, lets see what is said at the press conference at 4:30PM local time. The pitch can't be any worse now than it was early this morning, why wait until now to call the game off?

I have two very nice quality complementary tickets though, perhaps I'll frame them and put them on the wall.

I'd rather not play against a team of cloggers on a shit pitch but the organisers need a good kicking. If we have to play over there do it as a warm down in May not in the wet season.

There'll be no shortage of clubs in the UK that would love to play us even at short notice, hopefully we can sort another match out somewhere.

Happy it's off. Fucking stupid game. Sorry for those who have gone.

One thing is certain, Pep will be raging that his pre-season is being thrown around due to some cunts PR trick.

Feel sorry for those who were going to watch the game, but given concerns about the pitch probably better we're not playing.

Hopefully City can still use the time productively. And in the future organise the training properly

There's another game isn't there? dortmund?

Bugger. Was gonna have a day of it.

As an aside i just found this at the bottom of the MEN's article on the game

bring back the thomas cook trophy, in all seriousness Im actually glad this game is off, i found it ridiculous that we were playing them in the first place.

I think the same with any PL rivals. Setting up games pre-season against teams you will have to beat twice to win a title always seems a squib that could blow up in yer face. And the worst pre-season would be a game against them!

I don't quite understand the 'weather' bit. Is it a full-on mega lightning storm predicted? Too hot at 19:30? A torrential downpour? We can cope with the latter. Remember Carlos goin' down the tunnel one game and he just glanced at a good solid Manc downpour!
