City v United FA Cup Post Match Discussion Thread (merged)

To be honest the scum looked very laboured and lacked energy in the 2nd half, fuck this 'foot off the pedal' crap they were knackered same when they played Newcastle 2nd half, our players were buzzing around till the end. I think ferguson knows this and is really concerned. On the plus side this was our b team today less vinnie and they nearly pulled it off.
They have to endure Bellamy and co in the next round, hope its a draw and shrek gets sent off?

Mixed emotions for me. Im not gonna lie I felt like leaving after the first 45 minutes felt the ref had ruined the game after listening to that shrek bastard and sending vinny off. going 3 down and we might aswell have been in a church from the atmosphere we were contributing to. but we had little to shout about.
We came out 2nd half heard the changes and it made me wanna go even more. But to be honest the changes were tactically brilliant as kolerov played 100% better as a wing back (he is never a full back). we looked more solid as a defensive unit. the effort put in by all players made me proud to be a blue and the 2nd half support after our first goal was great. special mentions for aguero, richards, millner and de jong who put a massive 2nd half shift in.
Even though we lost, that 2nd half felt like a win to me and its the happiest ive been after a defeat to the rags.

Just watched the game again on sky plus. A few observations.

Kolorov is a liability and cannot defend. He was turned inside out by Valencia everytime they attacked down the right. He gave away 2 stonewall penalties, and was miles away when the cross came in for the first goal. People will say his free kicks even it out, but I don't agree.

Kompany did jump in with both feet, and as I said to my brother during the match "straight red, that!" Rooney looked like he was waving a card at the ref, but he was waving two fingers to demonstrate the two footed tackle. I noticed the ref had already blown his whistle before anyone complained, and even Nani didn't say owt which was out of character for that diving twat?

Ferdinand and Evra are finished and everytime Aguero got hold of the ball, they visibly shat their pants. Aguero, btw is fooking class, and is one of the top 3 strikers currently in the world. He is unplayable.

Milner was brilliant today, and never gave up running an chasing lost causes, even when they were passing it in triangles, he kept hunting the ball down.

Baconface has completely lost the plot. Have a look at Nani's face, when he realises he is being replaced by a retired 37 year old, who hasn't kicked a ball since May 2010. Some hoor on the radio said that Scholes made 71 passes in his 30 minute spell, which was more than any City player. These were all five yard passes and when he was pressured he lost the ball and was at fault for our second goal.

Phil Jones is fucking shit, and kept loosing the ball or running into blind alleys. He doesn't seem to know where he's supposed to be playing?

Wellbeck and Giggs were their best players today. Carrick gave up in the second half and doesn't seem to have the bottle.

NDJ had a mixed game, but he needs more playing time. He was starting to find his form in the second half. Nasri is still frustrating and not showing his class. If Sergio had a little more support up front, I reckon we could have clawed it back in the second half.

Watch baconfaces interview at the end of the game. He is fuming. I know we are out of the cup, but we layed a marker today that we won't lie down and accept defeat.

Empty Victory!

Didn't they do well? Aided by a sending off that didn't register on the redcardometer and a penalty that the most hideous footballer and disgusting human being in the world couldn't execute properly (that may be a bit to much, but I don't give a fuck), they reverted to a 4-5-1 formation against a 10 man team and still couldn't muster a decent enough attack to worry Costel. Noted were the faces that Camel Gob and Jones pulled at one another when they're ineptness surfaced once again. Giggs was also a culprit in aiming a searing "it's your fault" look at one of his team mates. I couldn't make out whether it was Lindegard or de Gea between the sticks. Two piles of dogshite, difficult to distinguish. Team spirit? Nah, I don't think so.

I was livid at half time and slammed a door or two but calmed down enough to soldier on and watch the second half. If I may use a Wilkinism, my word!! They shit themselves and the exhumation of Scholes didn't make a jot of difference, except it did, but to us! At the final whistle, I didn't care. It was a Scum empty victory. City's performance showed a different calibre of character and resourcefullness. Every City fan should be proud of that second half display today. The Scum know full well that they are shit. There's no money (hence Scholes) for the foreseeable future and the desperation has set in. Note the outrageous and uncalled for comparison of Rooney to Gasgoigne in Ferguson's post match interview.

Good riddance to the shower of shite that can't claim they're from the City of Manchester!

Gutted utterely gutted dont buy this glorious loss shit or we played well - maybe we did but we still got beat - we lost our captain for possibly 4 games and once again we conceded a fookin stupid goal against a team whom conceded space picked off the ball and broke fast.

The fookin defensive coaches want a slap - far far too many reds - dont care about any fookin argument it was not a red - i tend to agree but make a two footed challenge and you are in peril - make a two footed challenge with Foy being the ref the same fookin ref that refused to send off Lampard for a leg breaker and quote frinkly stupidity does not come into it.

Players need to be accountable for their actions and we aint.

Aguero and Milner were outstanding huge credit

Hopefully feel better tomorrow but potentially this could be a disastrous month no Yaya no Kompany unless Foy is prepared to agree he made a mistake.

Gutted CTID but it fookin hurts like hell

our ten men out played their twelve men,a morale victory and they didn`t hammer us,the second half performance and the way we got behind the lads took me back to the stoke game at maine road in the third division,we all became one and put together a fantastic run...

i`m so proud to be a blue, onwards and upwards with roberto!!

Oh yes they are

bitterly dissappointed with the way things panned out.

cross with Mancini for not picking Hart and Clichy, no reason to leave them out, hardly sent the right message.

Vinnie won't get that rescinded, didn't need to make the challenge.

Felt we stood off them too much after the red like they did at OT which gave them a pretty easy 3-0 lead(don't know what NDJ was doing for Welbeck's goal, he's the 1 man who should be putting his foot in come hell or high water) but cannot fault us in the 2nd half.

Felt the ref made some mistakes for both sides, both could have penalties in the 2nd half.

The draws are so rigged though, sorry, its so blatant.

Like people have said, we beat them 6-1 when 1-0 up with only 43 mins left to play. They had most of the game against 10 men with a 1-0 lead and they scraped it in the end.

we're having a poor run for our standards, we need to win on wednesday and we need to crack on with the league now.
Crap.
At least he offered some points for debate, unlike your post.
