Villa has some strong basics to complain after this one.

3 points but not completely sweet ones.

No , but 20 shots to their 10 says that we were better value than they were.

Value or not I think Dzeko made a foul, slight one but still foul, on the goal and we couldn't complain if it was penalty on the end.

2 big decisions went our way, we would certainly moan if we would be on other end.

Very poor performance with the ball. Our passing can be dreadful at times away from home.

We got away with it. Our goal could have been blown up for a foul and they could have had a penalty. How people can say we don't get decisions go for us over the season is beyond me, people only seem to pipe up with stuff when things go against us and claim all that bullshit.

Very good defending from Nastasić and Kolo, on the whole, though.

Thank god that's over. Don't think I could watch us limp over the line any more slowly than we did tonight. Against the worst team I've seen all season and we could hardly raise a gallop all game. Any other team and we'd have lost. Lucky not to concede a penalty on Benteke too. I think Villa will consider themselves unlucky tonight. Second half we just couldn't keep the ball - Nasri excepted. Defence constantly giving it straight back to them. Clichy looked all at sea - worst I've seen him all season. Garcia...if he's not being too slow to get to the ball that looks 70/30 in his favour then he's getting in the way of our own cleareances and giving them the ball back. Poor Rodwell - looked up for it and we missed his energy when he went off. The away performances need some attention : QPR, Southampton and Villa and all mediocre performances. YaYa, Milner, Silva all well below par. Uninspired all round.

Not a Champions performance. Good three points though. Seen it all bsfore but keep hoping I wont see it again. A wins a win.

dunno though, champions are teams that have a bad day but still come away with 3 points.

He had a great game today. Held the ball up well, showed good strength and set up two great chances one of which got us a goal. Credit where credits due.
