City v Watford post match

Friend let the Watford players kick our lads all over the pitch.
Agree there were no controversial decisions for him to make but he could and should have booked quite a few of their players.
Happy enough with 3 points and a clean sheet but gutted about Gundogans injury.
He booked Prodl around 20 mins in.

Can't understand the volley of negativity regarding Nolito. He carries a goal threat, granted he doesn't have the poachers instincts of an Agüero but he sure as he'll isn't afraid to put a shift in. Puts defenders under pressure constantly. A front 3 of Sane Nolito and Sterling at some point would certainly pique my interest. Out of interest I would be interested to see our points return this season when he plays against when he doesn't. I rather fancy we play better with him in the team.
Spot on.

Nolito is what he is. He lacks a bit of pace but he is realy clever, really skillful, scores goals & runs his fucking balls off. Doesn't complain or sulk if he's left out.

What an absolute bargain.

He also has a nice little curling shot on him, into the top corner, which we haven't seen yet.
wouldn't like to meet him in a darkened ally though, looks a bit of a Mafia type :)

Agree, we have a cracking player with him

He would give you a nasty looking pretend headbutt I bet.

Players like him are a godsend who really help win titles. The Baby Faced Twat at the swamp was another & tbf Navas has been for us, in spite of his faillings.

Thought last night was exactly what we needed after 2 defeats on the bounce, don't care about how exciting the game was or how little ambition Watford showed for so long, 3 points, 2 goals and a clean sheet.

Only negative was Gundogen

Mark of champions, games like that, didn't play well, but won comfortably, and I would say professionally.

Had we not gone 3 months without a home win.

The defence were very good apart from 5 minutes, which for once wasn't costly. I liked how it went from 4, to 3, with Yaya going between the other 2 CB's, and it shows that 3 can work if it's done right, the fact that we weren't so advanced helped enormously.

I enjoyed last nights match, made the 8 hour round trip worth it. Still lacking that killer bite in front of goal though, continuously trying to walk it in. More shots from good positions are required. Sergio is a big miss just now but he'll be back soon. Defence needs to sharpen up a bit as there was times Watford got in behind too easy, at least they were powderpuff up front. The same can't be said for Arsenal on Sunday who will come looking to attack and they are more than capable of causing us problems.

Is that "Nolito was good. No, Nolito was bad" or "Nolito was good. Without Nolito it would have been bad" ?

Eats shoots leaves.

It means having Nolito in the side is good, generally speaking. Was countering a previous poster who reckoned he's well overrated. It wasn't a specific reference to last night although I thought he had a decent game.

Nice try but unfortunately Sterling was shit, I know this because the oracles that spoke in the match thread told me so.
Sterling was good and bad, at times he made the most stupid decisions, and got himself into trouble and gave the ball away, at other times, he ran directly at them, and he scared the shit out of them, I wish he'd stick to the latter, because he looks very good when he does that.
