City v West Brom post match thread

A very pleasing performance IMO. We've been crap for most of 2015 so I'm very happy with 3-0 even if it was at home against 10 men. Bony got his first goal which was great and I was impressed with his work rate and tracking back to defend when necessary. He gave the impression that he may well be worth his fee as, hopefully, there's a lot more to come from him. It was a shame that Aguero didn't score - maybe he was trying too hard but then again perhaps he's now due some goals and will get them in the next couple of games. The only disappointment was our defending when West Brom had their corner - I thought we were a bit of a shambles and lucky not to have conceded a goal. Why do we appear to be so vunerable to set pieces? Don't we practice them in training?

I can only think it's because of the cup final that he hates us. That's about as far back as our history goes
According to the TV commentator on the feed I was watching, Pullis was manager of Gillingham when, well most City fans should remember that day.

Thanks Beeb. He's been shitting himself so far. Nice finish today. Go Wilfrid!

A really good result and performance. Some real hard workers out there today, Bony, Navas in particular. And it was good to see Kun tracking back when he lost possession - he deserved at least one goal today, but their keeper was inspired at times to deny him.

We created a lot of chances with only one of our creative trio on the pitch. I don't think we missed Yaya or Nasri at all. And after Lampard's performance I was left scratching my head on why MP hasn't used him in the starting 11 more often. Sure his radar was a bit awry but his composure and experience seemed to flow through to his teammates.

It's a shame we have to wait two weeks for our next game because confidence must be oozing from the team after today.

That was miles better today from City .
Nice timing with this crappy international break coming .

3 points is all that matters really. Especially on a weekend when United play Liverpool.

I thought Bony looked sharp, and he took his goal very well.

Aguero is now 5 games without a goal and the frustration is evident.

It's great to win the first game of the weekend then watch the rest.

but he'll make up for it & get it out of his system in a few weeks with a hat-trick against ManUre

;o)

Good to get three points, should have scored more goals though. Our build up play is annoyingly slow at times. Navas getting some praise in here but i think he was quite poor, fast but he never ever beats his man which is what you need when playing a ten man defence. Think we should look at bolasie in the summer.

I've just got back in from my brother in law's step daughter's 21st birthday party in Oldham (what a one way system horrendous)

A few blues there tonight and the ale tasted lovely, how much better is it when we win. Well chuffed about the way we went about our business today!!

You needed a TV commentator to tell you that?

No, just quoting my source in case some people didn't believe me.
