The problem is the way that the loan system works. The players that are closest to a call up arent actually at the club.
There are very few young players that are capable of making the transition from junior football to first team PL without an interim step playing on loan against adults. Not unless you've got a prodigy, a Messi (or dare I say it a Rooney) capable of playing at a very young age against men. It doesnt seem to me that the players we have playing in the EDS come into that category. As we saw when Pozo played briefly in the first team. They need that interim step of a season out on loan.
If we'd had Lopes or Denayer on the bench yesterday it might have been a good opportunity to bring one of the on when we scored the third. But they werent even in England.

I enjoyed that game yesterday. Don't really think we had a bad player on the field, once again they were all playing as a team.
Could it have anything to do with the fact that lazy YaYa was not around? ;-)

Boy really enjoyed city played well noticed that they worked really hard getting the ball back especially Bony and Aguero
Thought Mangala look alright think that back 5 of Hart Zaba Kompany Mangala and Clichy have to play every game till the end of the season invest time in them get them solid for next season
Biggest disappointment was the lad of youth player on the bench
It would be nice if there was a space for Barker Pozo ideal chance yesterday when the game was drifting slowly to a 3 nil conclusion for one of them to get on and have a bit of a cameo

We were very good and professional yesterday, a real back to basics performance was exactly what we needed.
Admittedly it was made a million times easier with them going down to 10 men so early but the pressing and aggression off the ball from everyone was a pleasure to see again. Aguero, Bony and Silva were all fighting to get the ball back quickly and that allowed Lampard and especially Fernando to close down quickly and regain possession quickly. The back four are always going to be comfortable with such intensity and work rate in front of them.
I still don't believe 4-4-2 is the system we should be using long term but the basics were right yesterday in terms of fighting spirit and work rate, to my mind Toure missing was a blessing in that respect as I've said on countless occasions.
