City Victory Parade - 2022/23

I’ve not read any other posts as I’ve not had internet access in the crowds so sorry if what I’m about to say has been said by others.

Me and my mate were at the bottom of market st near boots / M&S.

I’ve had the fortune to be at a couple of City parades in recent years but today was the first time I’ve ever felt in danger. The early on fun vibe turned into something very nasty. People with kids being pushed aside by arrogant cunts, young children crying, way too many people in a confined space and not a single copper to be seen.

There were a lot of what I’d call not usual City fans. Random chav twats there to cause bother.

And the club chose to delay the parade by 45+ mins due to rain without any way of communicating it to fans.

Really nasty vibe. Such a shame given the achievement of the team on the pitch.

And I’m a grown arse 30-odd year old bloke.

Should we ever have another one, doubt I’ll go to another parade due to the disorganisation and infestation of pure scally cunts in our fanbase.
It was better on the other side under the M&S canopy we always stand under there and on the steps children were all at the front no problem.
But it looked crushed where Market Street /Boots corner, that was a hot spot on other Cup celebrations.
It’s useless blaming the club the police give permission for parades to go ahead they are supposed to advise on safe procedures, such as crowd Marshall’s and police numbers, that corner of Boots and Market St is dangerous because all the folk in the Arndale centre come out that way

Is it only me who 's sick of seeing that Brandon bloke with the ginger hair in every single celebration/video/post/song?

I get it how it's amazing he's so close to the team and I understand how it's to show that from the bottom to the top they are one team etc etc but surely fuck off out of the way sometimes?

Oddly he's called Brandon as is that kid who does the news for kids - both Brandon both ginger.

It's a plot.

No you're not alone. Tell me he didn't do one of those floor slides across the stage in his briefs, though?

thought the same, cringe..

there where more people on the stage that i didnt know than did, its getting a farce the hangers on.

same with the end of game in istanbul, we argue about a pitch invasion being justified but the amount of press and hangers on there. On these ocasions we want to see the players and manager / coaches please.
Each and every one of those on that stage was a first team staff member and as far as Pep is concerned, they are equal to the players

I was going to say the organisation of the whole thing was a shambles, but i think the thunderstorms unfortunately played a big part in it. However what i can't for the life of me understand is, why tell every fucker it's in St Peter Square and when you get there it's not? They closed down loads of throughways apparently because of the weather, seems like that was done pretty sharpish so sounds like bollocks to me. There were loads of fuckers there that were just there to be rowdy and get caned, i get it and i dont mind it at all, but when thats coupled with nobody including security and coppers, knowing wtf is going on, there's bound to be mayhem. We were near the art gallery and it was bedlam, people walking round aimlessly asking 'where's the stage? wheres the bus?'. Eventually people got so fucked off the barriers just went and people just started going in the streets and partying/walking around to get closer to the stage. Me and my 10yr old just about got to see the bus, but there were times it felt a bit too aggressive from some people.
Much of this is spot on too much uncertainty, not helped by the unpredictability of the storm.

The stage should be sacrosanct to the players, including the academy lads and women if they've won trophies and Pep.

The valuable back room guys have had the bus tour.

Additionally, Miss Pike and Danny need to become more 'grown up' and professional or step down.

Screeching at hollering at the crowd to 'make some noise' etc was so small time on the most momentous parade in our tumultuous history.

We are now topping the bill on the global stage not cheering leading 12 year old at a boy zone reunion.

Lessons to be learnt.
