I must have missed Colin Bell playing at the Etihad...

Not sure exactly what the club were suggesting, but changing the name of a stand each game? And naming it in honour of some no mark from Australia who has only supported us for 3 years and never been to a game? Sounds very silly to me.
 
How hard is it to call something the Kippax?

Every bloody year they ask us about it and I'd wager every year they get the same Kippax based answer back. Half of them have probably never even heard of the Kippax.

The Cityzens Stand the muppets. Naming it after a fan every week is such a shit gimmick and as the voting is online will immediately be exploited. @Didsbury Dave will go off his head when he finds out the amount of Cheese in this

it's obvious the club employs some people with no emotional connection or support for City. They are just trying to come up with the latest cute gimmick. The best idea is of course give it a name with some meaning, be it the Kippax or Bert Trautmann Stand. And hopefully the outcome of this poll leads to that. Renaming it after Citizens (sorry, Cityzens) would be another step to turning the stadium into a gimmicked event area rather than a football stadium with ambience and authenticity. A bit like when they tore down hand-made flags to replace them with digital LEDs that not many people seem to like.
 
I said it was gimmicky and just embarrassing. Said it should be named after a legend, Sheihk Mansour or simply just to call it 'The Kippax'.

but there was just a question that just said "South Stand" or "Cityzens Stand" .... didn't have any choice there.
 
Is the main stand still called the Colin Bell Stand? No mention of this inside the stadium now that the Etihad Stadium and the LED boards have been installed.
No point naming it after someone if a brand takes over.

As for the fan named stand, Christ if this is what that guy is now doing after singing Blue Moon in the centre circle, well I think he's landed on his feet, if this is the best he can do with all the perks he will be getting!

That said, 1 year on can anybody name a memorable 'cityzen' suggestion or event or anything for that matter?

Load of rubbish if you ask me, gimmicky and marketed to enhance us as fans that actually doesn't enhance anything but my annoyance with the whole thing.

Bert Trautman stand for me.
Maybe the 93:20 stand if they want somthing up to date and modern yah?
 
I suggested Trautmann Stand as well but it will be interesting (mind boggling!) what they eventually come up with.

thats quite good .... the 93:20 Stand .... or .... like 'The Kippax' ...'The Aguerooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo' ......lol 'The Aguero' .... now that sounds Epic and Legendary!!!
 
Why the FUCK would it be the 93:20 stand when that moment happened at the stand opposite?
