The boys did us proud tonight most of the second half with ten men and did not look out of place at all dust ourselves off and start again on sat and barca know they have had a game tonight!

Gutted.
Too conservative in the first half.
We defended wonderfully with the exception of two moments, both of which became goals.
I thought we outplayed then while down to 10 men, until the Alves goal.
Barça got the breaks. We didn't.
Time to move on.

We did well and another lesson learnt ineurope, we have to improve technically in certain areas and we will.
From the replays it looked like the foul was outside the box so it wasn't even a penalty.

Forget the drama queens and blame merchants. We did it at Bayern with a weaker team, and we can do it at Barca with a full squad. Well done lads all of you and Pellers too.

Now,if ever there was a sign that MDM should hang up his boots and be replaced with another top quality centre back,it's now, MDM is the difference in this game, not Messi.
Still, great battling performance from the boys, and a bit more luck and the game could've been totally different.
With MDM. Suspended for the return game, we should just go for it, we've nothing to lose, and with Aguero back, Nasri and Fernandinho fully fit, I hope we get an early goal and really put them under pressure.
If we can do Beyern, then we can do Barca!
Not gutted by the result, we mixed it with the big boys, and survived with 10 men for over 1/3 of the game without getting battered like many predicted we would with 11 !!!

Pretty unlucky really and the lads gave it their all, still a slight chance if we can get everyone fit and put them on the back foot.

It is almost a different game playing in Europe against players who fall to ground for every challenge and refs who give those fouls every time (except th Navas foul) .
