City Vs Bayern Post match Discussion thread

Good performance but against a much weakened team, so everything is relative. The CL experience will benefit everyone, but we looked suspect in the games against Bayern and Napoli, and domestic success, though welcome, cannot disguise that.

Can't complain at going out with double figure points, it's usually enough, we did well, no doubt we will be one of the favourites in the Europa league too. That gives us a fantastic shot at League, Carling cup, FA cup and Europa league all still to play for. The future is blue.

United going out helps us out with the media, roll on chelsea.

We were nervous that's all, you could see it tonight, it's a great experience that will make us stronger

Yes very good game indeed....the team pulled together very well, the key is now to build on whats been started, good experience all around, need to be doing this season after season, I thought Savic did well at the full back position, and David Silva replied with a great goal after being crudely chop down!!.Still onwards and upwards, very proud of the team, manager, and everyone else involved at City.........keep up the good work guys..........

We've done alright. 10 points from a very tough group down to Pot 4 and we'll be back next season, having learned lessons from this.

Over in Trafford however, they've only got 9 points from what should have been a piss easy group and are also out for the first time in 6 years. It will hurt them far, far more than it hurts us.

The win today was nothing special. Bayern even fielded a better team in the cup game against 2nd league last Ingolstadt last month. They never played together like this before.

But the game itself did not matter anyways. You lost the thing in Napoli.

The more funny is that Manchester United has lost to Basel. You knew that Heiko Vogel, their coach now, has been youth coach at Bayern until 3 years ago and that he e.g. was coach of Thomas Müller, Lahm and Mats Hummels... ;)

Proud of the lads tonight. Not many teams spank Bayern. First team to go out on 10 points in 5 years so no shame in that. We will come back stronger next year.

On a brighter note we are now the main team in Greater Manchester. They are on a downward spiral losing to Basel FFS!
