City vs Bayern Post Match Thread

Typical rich team supporters. You can say all you want but this was the most obvious fixed game I have seen in years. Just score the goals in the last minutes, how convenient. And after 3-2 teams weren't even trying and then seeing all the c**ts hugging eachother after final whistle. Boateng is a former City player isnt he? says it all. Always the big teams shitting themselves whenever an underdog comes to play football with passion. I can see the germans throwing the last game too for big russian money. But no matter you wont win in Rome. 70000 true supporters waiting for you.

If you've not already been banned, get your stabbed arse over to the agenda thread mate - you'll fit in well there!

Still not quite sure how we managed that, but very, very glad that we did.
Seems surreal that's for sure.i said on the thread yesterday I wasn't arsed about performance as long as we get a result. On sky sports this morning mike wedderburn is loving it.only city could give you every emotion under the sun in 90 minutes of footy.

the daft thing is that now that is exactly what evpect from city. all emotions possible in an hour and a half. every bloody game.

Wow it's interesting to see everybody cheering up after a blatant fixed game. Check any italian football forum. So obvious, two gifts in the last minutes. Bayern shame of Europe! it's not the first time they do it for the money, check UEFA cup against Zenit where some Bayern players got bribed. How comes they didnt play vs City the way they played vs ROMA, Guardiola fielding bullshit kids and bragging what a professional he is always going for victory. And City is no better for pulling this rigged shit, FUCKING PATHETIC. We may not be among the big teams of Europe but we have pride. Oh and you wont be welcomed in ROMA!

In that case, FUCK OFF..
Who is welcomed in Roma, apart from the Germans, fuck me they even rob their own players.

There's banter in the game which is all part and parcel but this totti is one odious little turd,I hope karma bites him on his Romania family raped arse.

In terms of the win on Tuesday night I watched the ITV coverage which I'd recorded on the night. Firstly what an odious knob Chiles is, surely they can do better than that?
Secondly it has become fashionable to say that MP is inflexible in his system & tactically naive but I think the other night he got it just about spot on. Listening to the pre match stuff it is generally accepted that Bayern almost always boss possession and without our playmaker they would be hard to open up. Their pressing game means that they tend to adopt a high line. Accordingly he changed our style completely with us knocking balls into space with Sergio exploiting the slow centre backs time and again.
Despite their greater share of possession even with 10 men they rarely troubled us and but for a mad 5 minutes before half time it could have been a comfortable win. I must admit that until I watched the tele I hadn't that opinion.
I've heard it said we were lucky but I don't think so now. Worth a second look.

The Media really do make me laugh with the dross they come out with.

Apparently we are a one man team :)
As usual the press do not let the facts get in the way of a lazy story to appeal to the droning rag masses & Twitter generation. Annoys me tbh how people cannot watch football & make their own judgements & incite without repeating like a parrot the idiotic media soundbytes...

Here are some FACTS to blow their stupid comments out of the water>

City won the league & a Cup last season with 4 players scoring over 20 goals, Aguero was one of them granted but he was out for half the season, literally.

The top strikers/goalscorers cost top money because they make the difference in the big games & in a sucessful campaign in whatever competition.

Without Suarez Liverpool would not have challenged for the league title.

Without RVP, Utd would not have won the league in 2012/13.

The reason Barca & Real are two of the best teams in world football is because Messi & Ronaldo make the difference.

Also because the media jizz in their pants over anything Mourinho related they conveniently forget to mention without Costas goals Chelsea would not currently sit top of the league.

Like i say the media remit with City is ignore the facts & slag us off so the morons on social media can lap it up like a thirsty dog in a desert.

I posted much the same in the MP thread.

I was a bit surprised at the bullishness of some of the reaction on here when I got back on Wednesday morning, and didn't post much, waiting until I'd watched it again. Watching it again changed many of my views on the game. I thought we'd been out played first half watching it live, but having seen it again, we weren't, in fact we allowed them the possession, and it went mostly sideways in front of our defensive line, and as you say they created very little from having lots of the ball. The two goals were sloppy from our point of view, the second, good from their side, great cross and a good (if fortunate header).

Second half they created very little really, and even at the game I thought we'd dominated the territory at least.

No we weren't lucky, we deserved the win, and it could have been even better.

Lost of positives, 3 of our new players had decent games, probably the best they've had, Nasri perhaps his best game of the season, Lampard managed 90 minutes, though I think he was on air at the end.

At least there's two of us, I always think it's best to let the dust settle before making a judgement. To put this into perspective we have just beaten a team who are unbeaten in competitive football this season. The last time they had conceded a goal was 1st November, they had only conceded 3 goals in 12 Bundesliga matches scoring 31 and in the Champions league had scored 11 & conceded 1 in the previous 4 games. They last conceded 3 goals in December 2013, guess who they were playing against? Yes it was the Champions Manchester City!!!

I agree with you both about the match, but Real Madrid beat them 4-0 in the semi final second leg last year.
