City Vs Bournemouth Post Match Thread

It'll never catch on with some people, they want 1-0.

After about 35 minutes I said to my lad that it could end up about 8-3, entertainment all the way, why would anyone prefer 1-0 ?

I seriously haven't got a clue but I feel it will make them feel better when they keep a clean sheet on FIFA and claim to be tactically better than Manuel

I'm not sure we gave away all that much possession by accident. I think we invited them onto us to give us room behind them and get them on the break.
We need more of this to our game, so we can adapt from a previously very singular style of play... essentially high pressing has been our only game for a good while.

Yes, Bournemouth aren't the best team in the world, but the more me try this style of play, the better we'll get at it (hopefully).

if we score 8 I dont care if the opposition score 3 just like the arsenal game 13-14 season or even the newcastle, norwich game tonight
That Arsenal game was special .

I was buzzing coming out of the Etihad after that game .

The gap between the defence and midfield is horrendous - still can't believe Pellers not sorting it out. Im hoping delph will be the player to have the legs to fill that hole - yaya great player and great on the ball again yesterday but when the opposition have the ball gives us absolutely nothing.

On weds and next weekend has to be the 2 ferns with yaya in a free role.

I thought there was an element of that too, though they helped by pushing on too.
But if we pressed higher and quicker and had less space in behind us we might have won 2-0
Or even better still, 1-0 ;o)

Because many people forget that football is about entertainment, mainly.
Not just systems and stats etc. Maybe we should just let computers run football
and take any human error out of the game. NOT.
You can stick FIFA 2K whatever, give me the real drama anyday.

or we could just defend properly and win 5/6-0 with the opposition wondering how they're going to get a kick.

We said goodbye to those days when we sacked Mancini.
Nowadays, we tend to be more open, and win games, mainly because our attacking options are more expansive than virtually every team in the Premier League.
However, when our opponents are playing well, and something needs adjusting, we look rudderless, even with Silva and Aguero.
We might still win the League, but I fear for a repeat of the White Hart Lane farce.

Spot on. Week after week, x player is shit because we gave a chance away to a premier league side or the manager is tactically clueless because they got the ball into our box etc.

Fucking boring to be honest reading the same shite.

Top of the league with the greatest side in our history and some of the finest attacking football anywhere in the world.

It certainly doesn't seem to work in Europe.

If teams come to us and score great goals then you hold your hands up but sometimes it's just us switching off. We do that too often and against the better sides, particularly in Europe, it costs us.

I have to agree with you, some of the comments in this thread and other post match threads are quite bizarre, we win a game by a good margin and it's like we were lucky to win it you can pick holes out of any performance if you want, I don't think I have ever seen a game that is 100% perfect by any team
