City Vs Bournemouth Pre Match Thread

I am not very happy that our captain was so keen to risk his dubious fitness in last night's match against Israel especially in view of the existing injury list or that Belgium were so willing to gamble on him coming back not fully fit when the risk was all City's.

If his country is more important to him than City he should be treated to a spell on the bench.

Just wow. FFS get a grip. Vinnie plays for his Country and you want him on the naughty step.

Is Bony fit to play?

And should he play as if he gets injured we will have no strikers fit for Seville as Kelechi isn't in the euro squad....

Possibly first start for kelechi at home to bournemouth?

and if AK isn't fit it will have to be sanga on the left and zabba on the right

I understand your point but we cannot just throw Bony in against Seville without any recent game time. I see him starting Sat and Wed.

Not convinced we should play Fernandinho with him only one yellow card away from a ban, the same goes with Mangala.

We can't go into the derby without Aguero, Silva and Fernandinho, that is too many key players out.

1894 PLANS FOR BOURNEMOUTH

If you are in the south stand lower don’t be shy, get involved on the concourse before the game and please take it out into the stand.

Bournemouth is like Watford, West ham, Newcastle. A game where people are expecting a win and will probably sing when we score.

Why can’t it be like the Chelsea game. Sing regardless ?

We need your help guys, no matter what part of the stadium you are in. It doesn’t matter who is making the noise as long as someone somewhere is doing it and other fans are joining in.

We are going to try and lift it again this Saturday. So please remember :

We don’t have a divine right to win every game no matter how much we’ve spent.

The players need our backing and our patience. Teams park the bus at our place and up to us to make it intimidating for the opposition team.

Being a City fan is about passion. It actually doesn’t really matter what the score is. It didn’t matter in the bad old days. We sang regardless and we were persistent.

Don’t be shy and don’t be scared of shouting out loud. Have that extra beer and let yourself go. CITY TIL WE DIE.

Also, he travelled across half the earth, so I'd agree. Let Fernandinho rest and maybe sub him on if needed. He will still start against Sevilla and the rags, anyway. Fernando and Yaya played together this year only against Sunderland in the League Cup, but they complement each other well and showed it occasionally last year (at home against a newly promoted team who suffers even more from injuries than us).

Both are now fully fit if I'm not missing anything.

Mangala, on the other hand, has just returned from injury and I think they need the next 2 games with Kompany as they are so far our ideal CB partnership, though this could change as the season goes. So I would 'risk' him and he should just avoid the yellow somehow. Both Otamendi and Demichelis are in the same shoes as Fernandinho as internationals are concerned.

Bournemouth have lost their captain, player of the season, record signing, top scorer, and £6M winger. They are in a terrible state right now

In view of the injuries we've suffered over the last few days, I think the team will be as follows:

Hart

Zaba, Kompany, Mangala, Sagna

Dinho, Nando (Yaya if fit)

Navas, KdB, Sterling

Bony
